IIRC from last season, Knight, Johnson, Elder, Choudhury, Ndukwu, Thomas & Gordon all trained with the first team through pre-season and got some minutes. Hopefully a similar number of youth players are involved this year. Last pre-season there was a number of players coming back to training late due to the World Cup, so a lot of the academy players were involved more than usual. There still should be a few this year but considering we have about 30 first team players on our books it's difficult to have them all involved.
