Nalis Posted 3 May 2019 Posted 3 May 2019 4 hours ago, Tuna said: Still hasn't sunk in what we achieved. Incredible. I jumped through the roof when Hazard's goal went in. It still feels partly surreal to me if I'm being honest.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 3 May 2019 Posted 3 May 2019 I was round my parents' house watching Selby in the World Snooker final, keeping tabs on the Chelsea/Spurs game on my phone. At the final whistle, I turn to my Dad and say, "That's it Dad, we're Champions.". He turns his head towards me, shakes his head and chuckles in disbelief, and mutters the words, "Bloody 'ell!". Then he turns his head back to the telly and carries on watching the Snooker. Typical piece of brilliant understatement from my Dad.
broughtonblue Posted 3 May 2019 Posted 3 May 2019 Was in Barcelona with my mrs (both season ticket holders), did the nou camp and the guides kept saying , see you next season (as we were wearing city tops) and kept getting requests from different nationalities for photos. Spent the match in an Irish bar by the harbour, when we were eventually champions the whole bar stood and applauded us, with a rendition of....stand up for the champions!! (Welling up as I write this ) free drinks for the rest of of the night, The next few days were so special, even the lucky lucky men were high fiving us, the Spanish papers were full of our story, still gutted we couldnt join the party at the KP but our story is unique to us, and at the capital of football, we were the kings of football for those few days ?⚽️?
FoyleFox Posted 3 May 2019 Posted 3 May 2019 We were all certainly spread far and wide on May 2nd 2016 but all of these stories show wherever we were, it was an event recognised by everyone there. I can't image this happening when anyone else wins. A special moment in history and it belongs to our club.
Guy Posted 4 May 2019 Posted 4 May 2019 I was en route back home to the SW from my folks when the Battle Of Stamford Bridge was taking place so had to stop off that night in a Stroud PH to keep updated via my phone and the news on TV in there : then having a quiet-ish pint when celebrating the final score! Unbelievable Jeff!!
Footballwipe Posted 4 May 2019 Posted 4 May 2019 At home, watched the game. Went to the ground. Got back home. Kept a promise to the OH and proposed to her. Great night
