How much do forums reflect their PL clubs?

Alf, have you never been banned from anywhere or anything over your incredibly long and interesting life?

I've been banned from many more than 4 web sites over the years including this one but I've also not been banned from many other websites and I'm still on many websites (not just football but basketball, US Football etc...) As for LCFC websites I've been on them since before these types of forums even existed, back in the dial up days of the end 80's beginning 90's. Some of the sites just ceased to exist without ever banning me - and just to be clear a ban doesn't mean I'm a bad guy, it just means that influential people don't want me sharing my views :D where's that conspiracist poster (bone dog or something) when I need him.

anyway the point I was making is that since the LCFC websites out there are quite different then the premise that the online websites reflect the club or even the supporters is not a correct one. Other than the fact that all clubs have a wide cross section of supporters with very differing views.

I agree with your last point.

In my misspent youth, I was banned from a couple of pubs, sacked from a couple of temporary jobs, had my flat raided by Customs, was even arrested several times (all minor booze-related incidents, nothing creditable or principled).

I don't think I've ever been banned from a web site - and haven't been banned from anything for at least 25 years. I'm getting old and boring, clearly, and should sharpen up my act!

If Foxestalk wasn't decent I wouldn't be on it that often. There's some crap on here for sure but if there wasn't enough good bits to justify it I wouldn't bother.

Since having my posts restricted (for no reason I can see and absolutely no explanation even though I have asked Mods about 7 times) I am on here a lot less than I used to be which genuinely makes me sad.  I like this place, I have little to no life so its a place for me to at least attempt to not be the grotesque, deformed fiend that I am.  I think in general it is an extremely well run forum and the majority of folk on here are great.  My only gripe is that sometimes I feel true "debate" is not possible.  Either it descends into name calling or the Mods delete it and ban you (not that I am bitter :)) even though you are trying to get to the root of a problem or flesh out a discussion.  Other than that great forum and lovely people (I miss Thracian).  Regarding other forums I have absolutely no idea as I just don't read them.  X

In short... ‘can I be unrestricted please? X’

I had wondered why I’d seen less and less of your posts @RumbleFox. The above was a joke, by the way. Don’t want any hurt feelings :P

Hah, as pathetic as it sounds I actually miss being able to post.  X
