If it reduces the disruption to kick off times then happy days but somehow I don't think it will.

Of course it won't.

We've already seen how they will operate in such a circumstance - Boxing Day 8pm's, New Year Day 12pm + 8pm and midweek splits of 7.30 + 8.15.

To the standard of Sky et al? One of the common complaint about the Football League's iFollow subscription service and Sky's extension of midweek evening coverage of every Championship game has been the camera angles (or lack of)

BT took the staff from ESPN and Setanta.

Footballwipe explains it better than me.

Personally I think it's bullshit and will see a less democratic split of the UK TV money - the big six will be looking for financial splits dependent on viewing figures etc. Appears great in principle yeah every Leicester game on TV but the reality is it would be another financial support to the big boys.

Sky's standard is poor so not hard to match, yes the fixed camera is HD standard.

Sky and BT who operate on outdated scheduling are worse, the streaming platforms dont care about that and we would see less spread of games.

The times you just posted have nothing wrong with them.

Out of interest what do you mean by outdated schedules?

Amazon spread their December midweek fixtures across Tuesday to Thursday with two different kick offs times and their streamed  Boxing Day fixtures from 12pm to 8pm plus an evening fixture on 27th (which caused a fixture congestion issue for Wolves). They totally spread the fixtures out to maximise their coverage.

If you think it’s acceptable that fans were travelling back at 10pm on festive bank holiday evenings and 10.15pm onwards on midweeks when travel options are severely reduced, we have a major difference in opinion.

This would be great from a selfish point of view as a fan of a Premier League club but it would be awful for lower league and non league football if the 3pm kick off times are allowed which makes me disapprove of the idea

Does the time of the game matter so much you can watch them whenever you want.

p.s. Facecloth and Stan I can't post in Gen chat so can only share my view with the like button. Confused simply means disagree. I thought the Stranger was great for 6 episodes and poor for the last two with some terribly illogical actions. Harlen Coben always writes great books which I cannot put down but the series have never been as good - though The Stranger was worth watching and really good for most of it.

What I mean is scheduled tv is about watching it when they want to schedule it, so is catered for the tv scheduling.

Modern VOD is when the viewer wants to watch e.g. I missed our wolves game, if it was on amazon, I could have watched the VOD.

If sky was awarded every single EPL game, we would likely have them spread them out over an entire weekend so at most 2 games were played at same as each other, it would be very different to when the games were on amazon.

You can watch the entire game back via BT Sport's online app.......

Infact up until last year, you could watch all our Champions League games.

Sky have shown little appetite to show every game - it would be overspending for little comeback.
