What happens when he finally hangs up his bits with his role?

Someone should take over from him

Steve Walsh would be perfect.

There can be only one..... WES WES MORGAN!

Does he visit the training ground quite regularly, still?

Knew in the past that he used to like going down there and have a lasugh with a few players.

He’s got an office at the training ground at the bottom of the stairs and goes most days, he gets loads of abuse from Vardy apparently about being old.

Does anyone know how I can volunteer to collect money for the final run? I did it two years back with my wife and kids, raised loads of money and we all loved it.

I'm sure he said it was his last one over 20 years ago and has said it multiple times since. He can't get enough of it. Pencil him in for 10 more. No minor issues like heart attacks will stop him

Contact Rachel Green at the training ground

We all know the Birch is a one-off and an absolute legend.  It would be a mistake to try to find a like-for-like replacement because that will inevitably lead to disappointment.

Just checking in the archive, I hadn’t realised that he made his debut in the same match as a certain Keith Weller.  I must have been there as Dad and I didn’t miss a home game that season but I must admit that a 0-0 at home to Palace doesn’t stick in the memory.

I hope he keeps his word this time because 40 is a good time to stop and it's only going to get harder for him.

The run will not be the same if somebody else takes over so I hope they come up with a new idea for fund raising.

As for when Birch finishes, it would be impossible to find somebody to take on the whole role. I would be surprised if they could find anybody who has an affinity to LCFC, well liked by supporters, who could represent the club so well and do all the behind the scenes stuff as well as matchdays.

I've mentioned it before but I really hope that guy who does the fan cam cringefest doesn't get near it
