OzFox Posted 3 November 2005 Posted 3 November 2005 Stanleys up to his old tricks again. I was browsing the sports pages down here at the arse end of the planet only to see that our shy, retiring ex-centre forward has got himself thrown out of a nightclub in Cairns for brawling. Apparently he was in the Woolshed ("if you don't pull in the Woolshed, you won't pull anywhere") No score for Stan then, and not one mention of a fire extinguisher either. Very tame....
Sly Posted 3 November 2005 Posted 3 November 2005 Is Stan still wrangling with that Spanish football team he upped and left? I heard he retired becuase of that.
Manwell Pablo Posted 3 November 2005 Posted 3 November 2005 Is Stan still wrangling with that Spanish football team he upped and left? I heard he retired becuase of that. U mean Osuanua? I dont think so.
The People's Hero Posted 3 November 2005 Posted 3 November 2005 Isn't that the same joke outfit that Ullathorne sodded off to after we paid him throughout his injury?
Sly Posted 3 November 2005 Posted 3 November 2005 U mean Osuanua? I dont think so. Thats them. What on earth was Taylor thinking when he let Stan leave?!?!?!?!?!?
lenny06 Posted 3 November 2005 Posted 3 November 2005 Is Stan still wrangling with that Spanish football team he upped and left? I heard he retired becuase of that. Last I heard Stan was looking into getting an acting career. I believe he's already landed a small part playing Sharon Stone's lover. (lucky b@stard)
lenny06 Posted 3 November 2005 Posted 3 November 2005 Thats them. What on earth was Taylor thinking when he let Stan leave?!?!?!?!?!? The last straw for Stan at City was an after match brawl with Trevor Benjamin!! Well this is Stan's version from his book anyway.
Sly Posted 3 November 2005 Posted 3 November 2005 The last straw for Stan at City was an after match brawl with Trevor Benjamin!! Well this is Stan's version from his book anyway. I heard that Benjamin won (convincingly)

Yes, Trev tried to punch Colly and missed , Taylor thought, well I can't have fighting in the ranks, I'll have to get rid of the worst player, mind you neither are better than Ade , right I'll need to be strong - Colly's crap he'll have to go.
Collymore Posted 3 November 2005 Posted 3 November 2005 Yes, Trev tried to punch Colly and missed , Taylor thought, well I can't have fighting in the ranks, I'll have to get rid of the worst player, mind you neither are better than Ade , right I'll need to be strong - Colly's crap he'll have to go. yeah, It was a reserve game if I'm not mistaken. Apparently Colly had put trev through on goal with world class defence splitting passes loads, and Trev missed every time! Colly got angry so just started shooting from the halfway line! I think it was at halftime they had a brawl!

OzFox Posted 3 November 2005 Author Posted 3 November 2005 Remember that Sunderland game? Heskey & Stan, fantastic game, attacking football, spectacular goals... Heskey left the next week and its been more or less downhill ever since
Jordan Posted 3 November 2005 Posted 3 November 2005 Didn't the Colly/Trev spat start when Collmore grabbed an orange and asked Trev, "Do you see this?" Trevor then replied, "Yeah, it's an orange [probably in a befuddled 'why-the-f..k-are-you-asking-me-this?' tone]," and Collymore retorted, "Then you should be able to see my passes," "Then you should be able to see me when I'm wide open," or something of that sort. Next thing you know, arms were flying. Well, that's the version I remember, anyway.

As I remember it (well Stan's version anyway) he was giving Benjamin a few words of advice and he told him to F*** off! Thats what started the thing

Hmm i heard it was something to do with an orange too, but Stan was angry about Trev's lack of control of the ball, so he rolled an orange down the table and said eeer, control this.
OzFox Posted 5 November 2005 Author Posted 5 November 2005 I've been to the Woolshed did you pull? or get thumped by Stan?
