Your perfect meal

Prompted by the Last Meal thread, and having caught up on old episodes of the Off Menu podcast lately, where Ed Gamble and James Acaster ask celebrities what their perfect meal would be, I thought I'd start this and ask the same here. You can go to any restaurant or bar in the world for each course, and at any time period, so even if its shutdown you can pick a course from there. You can even have something home cooked.

 

So you have to pick

I thought it would be a different discussion to the last meal thread, people could talk about where they'd tried these meals, what the places were like etc.

Well at the moment a scotch egg would do if it allows the football to open, but ordinarily, chips,  beans and spam, sliced 3mm thick with plenty of salt, 3 slices of bread with lurpack. No water.

Still water

Poppadoms (Taraj Palace, Syston, cos they give you extra chutneys)

Starter: garlic chilli jumbo prawns (Quorn Exchange, miss that place)

Main: huge beefburger (Betsy's Diner, Falmouth, Massachusetts. It was perfect)

Side: hot wings (Grillstock, miss that place too)

Drink: one of those milkshakes where they basically blend together ice cream and a chocolate bar

Dessert: proper hot stodgy chocolate brownie with nothing on it except a bit of icing sugar. No fruit or mint leaves or ice cream or any other shit. Just a big slab of brownie

- Jug of still water with some lemon slices.

 

- Bread with Alioli dip. 
 

- Breaded Garlic Mushrooms

 

- Massive Beef burger with fresh salad, bacon and cheese. Served with hearty chips and onion rings.

 

- side of creamy Mac n cheese with pulled pork and bacon. (In a mug) 

 

- Large Coke

 

- Sticky Toffee Pudding. With a lemon ice cream.
