Just re watched the game whilst ‘working from home’ and it’s a sublime move. One thing I have noticed is that Barnes was only a few yards wider of JJ but was nowhere near the ball at the end of the move. Looks nakered lol

Yep! JJ’s run was ridiculous and he made a great one-touch pass to Kelechi in the buildup.

JJ is relatively inexperienced and he’s been asked to play every position across the backline this season. While I agree that Youri deserves to be in contention for the award (also has played much of the season without Wilf), I think the cover and consistency that JJ has offered puts him over the edge.

Not doubting he's in contention, but I just always hate the argument when people say a defensive player deserves it because he's more consistent when defensive players are naturally more consistent anyway and creative and attacking players always have some level of inconsistency to them.

People used that argument to bizarrely vote Maguire over Vardy in 17-18 and many made the same argument last season as to why Jonny Evans should win it over Vardy.

Just think Leicester fans have a tendency to put too much emphasis on the natural consistency defensive players have over creative and attacking players in these awards.

Player: Tielemans (everything we hoped he’d be; our world class midfield general)

Young Player: JJ (way above what we expected him to be)

Goal: Vardy’s flick v Man City (though I think I celebrated his winner at Arsenal more wildly than any other)

Performance: 5-2 at Man City (in a field of many)

Player of the Year - Tielemans (Rolls Royce footballer)

Young Player of the Year - Justin (Fofana not far behind)

Goal of the Year - Vardy vs Arsenal

Performance of the Year - Man City away (despite being furious at HT with the attitude towards the game)

For player of the year, I distinctly wanna go with JJ but looking at it from the perspective of "who could we not live without?" And it has to be Youri.

JJ is fantastic but if he was the only person injured, Timmy and Ricardo would be more than enough.... Put us in the same situation with Youri and we are humped.

Youri for POTY, JJ for YPOTY, Justin's goal in the cup and 5-2 against Man City.

Barnes' goal against Leeds was a thing of beauty, but it won't be as highly rated because we then went and lost.

Agree with this though.

To run with the ball on his own from his own half, then with a quick one-two and a superb finish.

To me, it was definitely goal.of the season so far but few are mentioning it.

It will be considered an all-time great on Leicester compilations in the future.

I think it was better than Weller's goal vs Luton.

Ah, but just think of how many players Justin could and has replaced! Hell, he slotted in for one of the best RBs in Europe and we didn’t miss a beat.

JJ is my pick for POTY but, really, both players deserve an award and the way you’ve picked them might just be the fairest option.

I'm still finding featues on the Forum. As i refuse on principle to belong to any social media for two reasons ,one of which is Groucho's . its probably why its taken me a while . Bit early for a vote on this but so far (the season has n't ended and I presume a better title would be Player of the Season but my early thoughts in oder of preference are:-

PLayer of the season.      Evans, Kasper. Barnes , Thielmans. are all runners in my book

Young player                    Justin, Fofana, Thomas.       (is justin eligible for player. ?)

Goal                                 lots of good ones ,probably have n't seen it yet. Current Leader Barnes v Leeds

Performance                    Man city              Expecting it to be Brighton in FA cup.
