Needs the good PR. Tough year for him and needs to move on if he not going to play more.

Always gives his all on the field but sometimes that's not enough.

The best role models are, in my humble opinion, those who have made some mistakes and bad decisions during their "journey".

Good work Hamza, great to see one of our own getting involved in something like this.

The timing is pretty crass though. It's not fair on him but unfortunately because of his emergence as one of the only South Asian footballers, he has to hold higher standards than others. If he was really passionate about this, then no matter his age, he'd be doing everything he can to stay squeaky clean.

And whilst I get your rationale on the redemption arc helping with a role models story, I think a role model who hasn't made any big mistakes but learnt from their smaller ones, is clearly a better role model than the zero to hero type.

Goes without saying, no hate :D

Great to see a player of ours being one that youngsters can look up to a role model and make their own way or mark into the game.

Yes, he might not be the most talented footballer but he does have his own style. It's the fact he's made it at the top level domestically that players look up to, not necessarily whether he can be some world class player.

I hope it inspires the next generation

:hamza:

I see that pic as a man with short back and sides with a UFO hovering above him.
