Gené and Tonic Posted 14 November 2005 Posted 14 November 2005 Any idea what the Chelsea side wll be?
Darth Fox Posted 14 November 2005 Author Posted 14 November 2005 Any idea what the Chelsea side wll be? It's hard to say as no doubt some of their reserves will be away on International duty also.
SIRFOOT Posted 14 November 2005 Posted 14 November 2005 Any idea what the Chelsea side wll be? all be better than out players anyway + cost about 30million .
Darth Fox Posted 14 November 2005 Author Posted 14 November 2005 all be better than out players anyway + cost about 30million . Didn't we actually beat them last season?
Thracian Posted 14 November 2005 Posted 14 November 2005 I'll be there (in spirit). Cos I didn't write the game in my diary, my son's arranged a family night out which clashes (unless I can make adjustments which seems to be proving frustratingly difficult!). In fact it seems there's a dozen things happening today, I'm suddenly informed by people standing well clear. What's so special about Tuesday's for Heaven's sake? It used to be such an inconsequential day. I've hardly missed a home Reserves game all season and have found the matches ever more interesting as more and more decent players have started coming through. At least you can expect a goal or two from the reserve strikers - and some belters at that! Mind you it might be good tactics for City to leave the best players out against Chelsea, otherwise they might be seen climbing on the wrong bus afterwards! I look forward to reading the comments of anyone who does get along.
Matt Posted 14 November 2005 Posted 14 November 2005 What time would KO be? I finish college at 7pm i'm only down the road, but would it be a normal 7.45pm KO or earlier? Also is there free parking there? i.e - Has the stadium got a car park/Is it free, e.t.c...
Mark Posted 14 November 2005 Posted 14 November 2005 Home reserve games kickoff at 7pm, and yes there is free parking at the stadium.
City Fan Posted 14 November 2005 Posted 14 November 2005 It costs a quid to park, oh and I will be there!
Thracian Posted 15 November 2005 Posted 15 November 2005 It costs a quid to park, oh and I will be there! And only £2 to get in.
Darth Fox Posted 15 November 2005 Author Posted 15 November 2005 And only £2 to get in. And £2.25 a pint of Fosters Cold.

Bert Posted 15 November 2005 Posted 15 November 2005 I'm not signed up so cannot view the article. Whats's it all about? Leicester City reserves take on Premiership giants Chelsea at Hinckley United FC on Tuesday night (7pm). Foxes boss Craig Levein has named a side containing a mixture of first team and Academy players for the clash, with Paul Henderson, Alan Sheehan (pictured) and Peter Gilbert all named in the starting XI. Leicester go into the game on the back of a 1-0 victory over a strong Tottenham Hotspur side, while the visitors registered a 2-1 win when up against Ipswich Town last week. Youngsters Ashley Chambers and Joe Mattock are also named in the City line up fresh from their recent stint with the England under 16 squad. Adam Wykes, who scored the winner against Spurs off the bench, is again named as a substitute. Entrance to the Marston's Stadium for the game is just £2 for adults and £1 for concessions. Junior members go free - so don't forget to take your membership card along. A match report from the fixture will appear on lcfc.com after the match. Extended highlights from the game will be available on Leicester City World from noon on Wednesday. City: Paul Henderson, Joe Magunda, Alan Sheehan, Andy King, Scott Lycett, Peter Gilbert, Max Gradel, Tommy Tejan-sie, Ricky Muggleton, Ashley Chambers, Joe Mattock. Subs: Connor Franklin, Conrad Logan, Adam Wykes, James Graham, Billy McKay.

Ric Flair Posted 15 November 2005 Posted 15 November 2005 Over the moon that Chambers is in the team, it's a shame the rest of the team looks abit lightweight. I though Hamill would be included and what's up with Dodds at the minute? Who will partner Chambers upfront? I can't believe Graham is only on the bench, I just hope the lads raise their game against Chelsea otherwise it could be a heavy defeat.
Ric Flair Posted 15 November 2005 Posted 15 November 2005 Chhers. Ehere is Tommy Tejan-Sie from? We got him from Arsenal but originally he's from Sierra Leone

Darth Fox Posted 15 November 2005 Author Posted 15 November 2005 Heres a typical Chelsea reserves lineup that I've found. Very occasionaly a first team player coming back from injury plays so don't think it's gonna be a walkover. Chelsea reserves

Ric Flair Posted 15 November 2005 Posted 15 November 2005 Reserves travel to play LeicesterTuesday, Nov 15, 2005 Chelsea Reserves tonight face the fixture that proved to be one of their most encouraging and at the same time, most frustrating games of last season. Against a Leicester City side containing a handful of internationals and seasoned professionals, an inexperienced Chelsea XI held the lead until three minutes from time last October. Leicester were then awarded a penalty that Lenny Pidgeley (pictured) saved, only for a controversial retake to be ordered. Pidgeley is once again in the Chelsea goal as our second string look for the win that was cruelly denied them on that visit. In front of him in the central defence will be a player making his start at reserve level. With Steven Watt out on loan and Michael Mancienne away on England Under 19 international duty, youth team captain Jack Cork is handed his chance. The 16 year-old has previously made two sub appearances. Anthony Grant is also on Under 19 duty while Phil and James Younghusband are away competing with the Philippines Under 23 side in the South Asian Games. In the absence of Phil Younghusband, James Simmonds looks set to lead the attack with another youth team regular, Dean Furman taking over from Grant in midfield. A week after the tribunal decision on compensation Chelsea must pay to their former clubs, two further 16 year-olds are on the bench for the first time  right-back Sam Hutchinson and youth team top scorer Scott Sinclair. Chelsea jumped three places to eighth in the Barclays Reserve League South a week ago with their last gasp win over Ipswich. Leicester in 13th place have won just one of their four home games, scoring five times. Tonight's team contains three first team squad players, Paul Henderson, Alan Sheehan and Peter Gilbert. The Chelsea team tonight is: Lenny Pidgeley; Dean Smith, Jack Cork, Adrian Pettigrew, Jonas Elmer; Joe Keenan, Dean Furman, Danny Hollands (Capt); Filipe Morais, James Simmonds, Joe Tillen. Subs: Yves Ma-Kalambay, Sam Hutchinson, Ricardo Fernandes, Jack Watkins, Scott Sinclair. Leicester: Paul Henderson, Joe Magunda, Alan Sheehan, Andy King, Scott Lycett, Peter Gilbert, Max Gradel, Tommy Tejan-sie, Ricky Muggleton, Ashley Chambers, Joe Mattock. Subs: Connor Franklin, Conrad Logan, Adam Wykes, James Graham, Billy McKay. The game is at Hinckley Town FC and kicks-off at 7pm. There is full live coverage on Chelsea TV. Broadcasting begins at 6-45pm with Kerry Dixon providing expert analysis in the studio. Jason Cundy co-commentates. Sounds like they've got alot of their decent youngsters on youth international duty. That Scott Sinclair who's on the bench for them is highly rated they got him from Bristol Rovers.
