Cobbo Posted 15 November 2005 Posted 15 November 2005 Oi, imagining you breaking your ankle results in some pretty ugly pictures in my mind. Sorry to hear that Cobbo. Hope you'll recover soon and good enough to play footie again (without fearing any other medical consequences, of course). Anyone signed your plaster yet? I will be back playing footy, no worries there. I'm very determined to be. The plaster isn't signable yet, come Friday it might be he tells me he has one of these on at his own request: to "impress the birds" And they have been flocking since.

cisono Posted 15 November 2005 Posted 15 November 2005 Sorry to hear that Cobbo!!! But what does "broken your ankle" mean exactly? I'd be interested to know how your injury happened and a bit more detail generally, if you don't mind... I wish you a speedy recovery.

I did it playing footy as has been said, went into make a challenge (which I won ) but then got my studs caught in the ground and went over my ankle. I heard it crack twice as I went over. Then I was helped off the pitch. Thanks again for the well wishes folks, they mean a lot. Special thanks to Muz and Wellman whom have affirmed to me that they are pricks

Nationwider Posted 17 November 2005 Posted 17 November 2005 I broke a metatarsal (sp?) in my right foot courtesy of a 80mph cricket ball. It's a bloody inconvenient (and painful) part of the body for a breakage. Get better soon, and chin up. Or "foot up"?
