Willing to take him on a permanent because they would feel he is a player they could develop, but on loan he currently wouldn't be as important a player to them at the moment like KDH was

Quotes below from the Luton manager

If Leshabela does join though from the Foxes, it is likely to be on a permanent basis for the South African youth international, as Jones added: “We’d probably prefer not to take loans if I'm honest.

“We don't need to take loans, we've got a real full squad of players that we’re really happy with and they are ours.

“We take a loan if we can't get them as they're probably slightly out of our reach or the club don’t want to do that, but they improve us significantly like KDH (Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall) last year.

“We knew that he would improve us significantly so he was worth the fact we took a loan.

They’re saying training KDH for us was worth it due to KDH’s quality. But Leshabela might not get to that level. But are being completely honest when they say they knew KDH would improve so much? There were only a few who were so confident in him at the start of his loan. If there’s another decent championship club waiting I’d loan him there instead. I don’t fancy yielding to Luton’s demands we sell a player to them.

Sounds like we were willing to sale for the right price.

Luton have steadily but surely been building a good squad over the last 5-7 years and it seemed like an eternity while they were bouncing between leugues 1 and 2 together with the blip in the conference. My mates a ST holder and he says that after being an ST holder for 24 years that it wouldn't surprise him if they did a brentford. I told him he needs emotional help.

I think they are still intending to move to a new stadium. I remember reading a local article a couple of years ago where they were comparing themselves with LCFC....usual stuff about 'well if they can win the Premier League then so can we'. There's dreaming and then there's delusion.
