All of it will be elementary as it’s a closed doors game surely. But you can take a pcr at the airport when you land, go home, and your negative result will be with you so no isolation needed

Are you allowed to take a PCR immediately on your return? Or does it have to be done on day 2 after your return to the UK?

Can't see anyone going to this now. I certainly can't, and this is going to get worse before it gets better.  Wouldn't be surprised if there's a total ban brought in.

On the bright side, will miss getting our heads kicked in by the ultras 🤣

I think a few will still go if the rules remain as published tonight.

Definitely going if the rules stay as is

It will be if anything changes in Italy / away fans end up not being allowed etc. something along those lines that will stop me from going

Alpha express testing day 2 pcr test £23.75

Just checked it out. Day 2 PCR is £62.99. The £23.75 one is the LFD which is no longer valid under the new rules announced today.

There is a place in the Highcross in Leicester does PCR tests which does PCR 2 day tests you book in advance then turn up, think it is £69. So if needed I will book in their for the Sunday and go in after the Newcastle game.

I read it that you are to self isolate on return. Ie. Leave the airport, get home, do the test at home and send off.

Next time you leave home is once you are in possession of the negative result.

Will all be revealed in the next 48 hours no doubt

Entry requirement to Italy still only need antigen test only ?

For now yes but this is my main concern rather than the UK requirement - if Italy understandably bring in the same requirement then it makes the trip untenable and to be honest pretty unappealing even if a result can be turned around in a day.

I believe this requirement remains the same. It’s not a test on day 2, it’s a test by absolute latest day 2. Therefore you can do a test on return and release from quarantine immediately upon receipt of a negative result (1-3 hours)

I’ve got a Randox test that I may or may not have used for Warsaw, will this work for my day 2 test? I think The reference works on the form but wondering if it will cause an issue as I think I told them I sent it back.

I'm basically ****ed for this because we are staying longer

We never sent the Day 2 tests off after Warsaw. In fact, we didn’t even take the test 😂

Its all about the reference number on the PLF. Not sure they’ll really bother with checking you’re isolating or not

The PCR will have to be done and sent off this time. The difference being that now you will have to isolate until you receive your negative result back.

Yeah, and apparently the results can come back within 3 hours

Take it as soon as you land/get home Friday and you should be fine for work on Monday

Agreed, think I need to buy another. Will wait a bit to do that though, there are a few cases of this variant in Naples so I’m expecting this will get binned.

I think so too.  On the plus side, we may stand a much better chance of winning behind closed doors.
