Good evening Foxes fans, I hope you’re enjoying Brendan and his football. Good luck to you and him.

Just a word of warning. I’ve been following Liverpool away i Europe since 1973 so know what travelling is like. You’re shortly due to play at Napoli and you saw when they came to Filbert Street (sorry King Power doesn’t feel right!) what they’re like.

Napoli away is to be endured, not enjoyed. They are horrible and will pick off fans whoever they are. Don’t even think of showing colours or trying to fly flags in a square they won’t accept it.

I suspect many Foxes fans may not have travelled much in Europe but believe me this is the most hostile place imaginable. Stay by the marina, be sure scooters can’t get to you and get organised buses to the ground.

Stay safe.

This.

And do pay attentions guys and girls. One of my mates has been to a CL night on Napoli and he and his dad were mugged in Napoli, this is exactly what he said to me.

When we got into the CL, he said “don’t go to Turin and don’t go to Napoli…..

He didn’t seemed very fussed about Russia and places like that, but he was definitely adamant to not go to Napoli, they got jumped leaving the hotel so if you are going be careful and stay safe…..

Just try not to look like a complete tourist, try and get Euro’s out, and enough to cover your trip and leave any cards and wallets in the hotel room, and even phone…. Try and ensure you travel to and from the ground in a large group of people, stick together and you should be alright.

And not to sound out of place, or like I’m stereotyping, and I can say it because I own one I guess…..

If you plan to wear a stone island item of clothing their “ultras” will spot that a mile off, it’s why my mate reckons he was jumped because he was wearing his stone island jumper and they associated it with the British football fan.

Other than that stay safe and enjoy if you are going!

We’ve spoken about it in a thread within the ticketing forum. Do’s and Dont’s

What I do find peculiar is a United fan going on about Napoli away given that they have never played them in their history

Depends which United he's talking about? West Ham United have played them.

He travels about to different countries to watch  various teams with his group.

They went to watch Napoli on the CL a few years back and it happened then. Can’t remember who they were playing but he’s been and he warned me not to go.

My mate who is a Man City fan went a few years ago. He’s the most placid 60 year old imaginable. Said the stadium is foul and he and his friends were chased by a group with broken beer bottles. He will never go back.
