Kids shoes... even basic Clarks stuff is over £30 a pop, and they are in them for a month and start complaining about being too small. Add in wellies, football boots etc. for 3 kids, and it's a bloody fortune spent on what is now a massive collection of bags and bags of old shoes that don't fit.

Used to work at Clarks and had to sometimes do the measuring for kids shoes. My god what a racket that is, complete and utter con.

Not that tangible l, but I reckon paying estate agent fees is grotesque ...literally they google your postcode and previous sell price to establish an up-to-date date price, take amateur pics and upload to right move and zoopla.

To a lesser extent, conveyancing solicitor's fees. And house valuation survey.

Tools left on site, I’m terrible for it. I spend a fortune on them and never get my worth out half of them.
Wish I could leave my kids on site sometimes. I bet they’d always find their way home the bastards.

Bus lane fine on himberstone road for yesterday...my wifes car byt totally my fault...it was only 5 meters though....no use fighting it...

Always worth fighting it, mate.

I’ve never not fought a PCN/fine.

I’m not a particularly narky/inconsiderate driver, but occasionally mistakes happen and I feel really strongly that these shouldn’t be punished by £100+ fines.

Notable wins include driving in a bus lane (appealed due to signage)

£160 parking fine - appealed due to poor signage.

Stopping in a yellow box - £180 fine. Appealed due to yellow box lines being painted in the wrong position. (I had to get my tape measure out for this one). Went to court but they never turned up on the day.

Driving up a one way street. (They had video evidence of me exiting the one way street, but not entering it). Checked the law and there is no contravention noted for exiting a one way street the wrong way, oddly.

And a couple of dozen minor ones. I do live in and around London, so please judge me accordingly!!

If they charged a reasonable amount for a mistake, I’d (probably) happily pay. It’s the disproportionate amount that annoys me.

It was £30 if paid straight away so I said it was another Christy present for the Mrs!!!

Even though it was my fault, she did actually think it was her who did it.

Will definitely  give them War and peace next time. Bloody w@nkers!
