This is hilarious. Taylor Hawkins was a complete classic rock/metal head. I'm not convinced that most of the audience, there by virtue of being into a pop-rock act, know what the hell's going on. They certainly don't seem to recognise many of the numbers or some of the artists onstage. They seemed nonplussed when Eddie's lad Wolfgang came out and jammed some classic VH. Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee are purported to be playing tonight - which will be the first time live since the death of Neil Peart...what the **** will 70% of this audience make of that?

 

Though Supergrass were great. Always time for Gaz Coombes.

I'm not sure many of them knew who Lars Ulrich or Brian Johnson were to be honest. 

 

I bought a random James Gang album when I was a kid, solely because Tommy Bolin, who had replaced Ritchie Blackmore in Purple, had been a member for a while. I should have bought 'Rides Again' with Joe Walsh playing on it. 

 

Next to Rush, I think they were Taylor's favourite band.
