Got back yesterday and had a fantastic trip - I'd imagine Albania is absolutely nothing like most people would expect.

We packed a fair amount into one full day, went to Tirana in the morning and spent the afternoon overlooking the Adriatic Sea in Durres.

Avoided any dramas thankfully but it was really moody in departures, Roma fans seemed a right strange bunch.

We were on that flight.  It was pretty full with a few spare seats dotted around.  Flight was late arriving into Luton, then we were boarded but sat on the tarmac for 90 minutes.  Total delay was 3 hours due to thunderstorms over Germany.  Lots of Feyenood fans on board.

Had a great time in Tirana and will definitely come back.   We watched the game at the neutrals zone in the main square.  Bumped into a few other LCFC supporters.  Didn't see any trouble.  Had drinks in a bar with a bunch of Feyenood fans after the game ... shame they didn't win.  Lovely lot of lads who invited us over to Rotterdam.

We both loved our 2 days out there and as both of the above say, Tirana is a fantastic city to visit and not like many might expect. It's almost at that point between being rundown and in need of renovation to being the new cool place to visit. I think a lot has changed there over the past 5 to 10 years (one look at Google streetview can give you an idea what it was like 5/6 years ago). Looks nothing like that now.

Lots of old architecture but lots of modernisation happening, plenty of building works being done. We spent matchday walking the inner city area and it was nice. Would definitely return if given the opportunity. Saw mostly Feyenoord fans (which surprised us as Roma were meant to outnumber them 3 to 1). Loads on our flights too. Only Roma fans in numbers were at their fanzone and at the airport yesterday (they had two charter flights going when we were there).

And everything was dirt cheap if you paid a bit of attention. Having said that, on matchday, the prices for a bottle of beer (or water) at some of the kiosks varied from £0.60 to £3. These were every few hundred meters. Good food, good beer, friendly and welcoming locals.

Yeh agreed. If you go on holiday to sit on a beach and read a book I would highly recommend basing in Tirana and going to Duress and Ohrid in Macedonia. Cheaper, friendlier people, more picturesque/dramatic and overall much more pleasant and enjoyable than the carbon copy rinse and repeat Greek islands like Santorini, Crete, Mykonos etc

We’re doing Warsaw in December. Back to the British Bulldog

That trip will stay long in the memory. Loudest fans I've ever heard in 41 years of going to football.

Anyone used their credit with Wizzair?

Just booked Lisbon when City are at Wolves and Vienna Derby in March 2023
