What? He hasn't been our player for 16 days now, why does he have to put a "goodbye" message? Why does it make anyone look good or bad?

His contract expired 2.5 weeks ago, he's no longer employed by us. I don't know why people keep talking like he's still our player. We've essentially put a contract offer in to sign a free agent, but he's hasn't been our player since the end of last month.

You are right of course that he's not our player anymore but its our contract offer that means a line isnt drawn in the sand.

 

He looks bad as he hasnt reject it yet and is clearly holding out for a better offer elsewhere.

 

We look bad because we havent rescinded our offer or put a deadline on it.
