It's frustrating but we still read the topics we're interested in. It's a matter of trawling through the repetitive crap to get to the sensible/contentious/balanced posts.

 

IMO FT has a higher proportion of knowledgeable, clever and insightful members that post in "general chat" and outside of the LCFC or matchday topics than any other football forum.

 

 

 

You're absolutely right and it is a very good forum.  Particularly for those like me who have moved away from Leicester it's a nice connection as well. 

 

However, it is difficult at times not to get frustrated at the obnoxious few and the repetitive nature of some of the jokes and comments about BR that appear on almost every single bloody thread.  As you say you have to trawl through the crap.  

 

We've just signed an exciting young Brazilian winger, yet still on his thread the Rodgers comments abound like tins of spam. 

 

I think from reading some of his posts my opinion of our manager is quite different to that of high peak, but I don't feel the need to vomit it over every thread.  

 

I am finding the block function an increasingly useful tool.

It's very interesting - I rarely if ever mention what I think of the manager, yet there are some assumptions being made. 

 

Let me be clear - my objection is to the unending spamming and repetitive speculation and blaming in his name. It does not need regurgitating, we all get it. My opinion of him is by the by.

Let me explain.  It's a thread about threads being spammed, about love lost and love found, about those blocked and those unblocked.  About the meaning of life when viewed through the prism of tribalism and football. But above all it's a thread about ejaculating over Nigel Pearson's face as printed on underpants.

Remember FIF?  So obsessed with Mahrez, he was in every unrelated thread engineering some connection to Mahrez so he could rant.  His every thought must have short-circuited directly to his one-man crusade against the Franco-Algerian fount of all evil.

 

A few here have a similar problem regarding Rodgers.  It’s completely appropriate to criticize his squad management, tactics, subs, etc in the appropriate threads.  But the mental gymnastics made to shoehorn him in everywhere, as the one and only root cause of every last problem at LCFC if not beyond … it’s so spammy and repetitive.

 

Of course he’s a self-interested hustler who can’t build a squad and looks to have run out of road here.  Most City fans have figured that out, don't fret.  But he’s also had notable short-term success, including here.

 

Managers come and go and he, too, will go.  Meanwhile he is not a character so evil that anyone should obsess.  You want to fixate on someone the world would be better off without, try Putin.

A topic lambasting the constant referral to Rodgers being turned into a thread about, well Rodgers. I think that might be Sod’s law.  
 

Now if we can get it into the gaming section that would impressive.
