I don’t think lack of leadership is the issue, it’s the type of player. We have to many soft players.

Agree on the soft players part bar a couple of players, but I imagine a number of other teams would have had a few players willing to leave a clever late tackle on Morton for instance last night.

True. That’s what I mean about type of player, we haven’t got anyone willing to get in and be aggressive.

As for Morton, I thought he was the best midfielder on the pitch.

No point having a captain with our squad. All the players given captaincy either want to leave, are always injured, are always shit or just past it. May as well give it to a fan.

Exactly what I came into the thread to say 😂

Managers tend to build squads in their image. It’s the leadership off the pitch which has led to building a team with such little fortitude.

In the summer when they announced Evans as captain and Albrighton as vice captain I said it was stupid. By all means make Evans club captain, we had Morgan as a non playing captain for years, but then the vice captain has to be a regular in the team. Otherwise its just another decision to make every week.

Essentially who wears the armband is ceremonial, it's doesn't really matter, but it does make sense to give it to someone with leadership qualities. Fernandes is the Man Utd captain, but I don't think anyone would argue Casimero has brought leadership qualities to their team. What's alarming for me about Leicester is outside of a couple of players there's hardly anyone that i would pick out as a leader. Evans is always out, Vardy, Ndidi, and Tielemans all seem to be in a rotation of back up captains but are either injured or benched these days. Ricardo I would say has potential but he's obviously been out. The only regular starter who is worthy of the armband is Maddison and he's got his own injury problems. We have a real issue with strong leaders in the team.

Ricardo for me. The guy has guts and determination! He also is a bit fiery at times too. Think back to him wiping Chilly out 😁

Seems a popular character and the other players have respect for his fight to keep going. He has been through so much but still fights on with a smile on his face.
