  1. Not weird for me. I'm a Leicester fan.
  2. Ok, if this is right, this is probably the nicest shirt we've ever had.
  3. That disallowed Egypt goal is why VAR is crap. Yes, it was a 'correct decision' by the rules as they now stand with VAR, but in the old days one of the best World Cup goals ever seen would have been allowed to stand. Either that or the ref would have seen the foul at the start of the move and blown up and the move would never have happened. Either of those would be better than ruling out a fantastic goal for something that happened ages before by the other goal line.
  4. A successful season looks like promotion. Doesn't matter if we win the league at a canter or sneak through the playoffs by the skin of our teeth, and doesn't matter what we do in any cups but if we go up, that's a successful season. If we don't, it isn't.
  5. 'Serious concern' would be one thing, but the point being made is that people are displaying full on loathing and hatred, and have convinced themselves that it will be, or already is, a disastrous appointment. It might be a disastrous appointment. I have quite a lot of 'serious concern' about it myself. But it's just plain daft to claim any certainty about it. It's not impossible that it won't be a disaster. (How's that for an optimistic outlook?)
  6. Steve Carell wouldn't have been my first choice to play Kevin Russell in a biopic, but it sounds interesting.
  7. Although tbf we won the league the season after Pearson left and that doesn't exactly reflect badly on big Nige...
  8. Ah, but they both played in a time when scores like 6-3 or 8-2 were quite common. Vardy played when 3-2 was a thrilling goalfest.
  9. "...the brilliant support during what was an incredibly disappointing season."
  10. Yep. Absolutely. It was pretty darned hit and miss before then. As was manager recruitment.
  11. Not very, to be honest. I assume a lot of the people there will be people taking their kids who are too young to remember 2016 or seeing most of the players. No need to ruin the kids' fun.
  12. God, sounds awful. Exactly what we’ve been saying about people associated with this club putting us down at every opportunity while other clubs talk themselves up until the media accepts them as a big club. I definitely will not be watching. I watched it and enjoyed it a lot. I don't remember Tanner saying much more than we hadn't ever won the league or the FA Cup before, which is after all true. I recommend it, if only because the bit where we (spoiler alert) win the league will put a massive smile on your face, a lump in your throat and a tear in your eye.
  13. And joint top goalscorer among Leicester goalies, whatever the record books say.
  14. I don't think this is true. They've genuinely done this to mark the ten years, they've just done it in the same half-arsed, last minute, lacklustre, back-of-a-fag-packet way they appear to approach employing managers, signing players and looking after the club's finances.
  15. Humidity and everything being built to conserve heat Definitely humidity. Go somewhere dry and 35° is no problem. Here on a muggy day 20° is bloody horrible.
  16. Well I'm certainly up for checking out anything that might help with hayfever. 👍
  17. That recently? I honestly thought it would have gone in the early 90s Nah - in the 90s there was even the morning one as well (The Sporting Green?) wasn't there? We used to rip it up to make tickertape at matches. Them was the days.
  18. Well they did sign BEK in the first place, so it's not like they always make crap signings. Just more often than not.
  19. Just google it and/or speak to a fertility clinic Ok, I've googled it. It seems there's one study that suggests it. Sounds like more research is needed to confirm this as a fact.
  20. Interesting. But I don't think you can necessarily extrapolate from this and make it reliable advice for all hayfever sufferers. I personally get hayfever something rotten a few times a year, but antihistamines make it bearable. On that basis I could say 'Hayfever top tip: take antihistamines.' But I wouldn't, because everyone is different, and everyone's hayfever is different. Also even one person's hayfever doesn't always stay the same.
  21. I think John Bloor's not related to the Bloors that used to be in the board. But regardless, if he can form a consortium with some Shipmans, Shooters, Sharps and Smeatons, it could be like the good old days again!
  22. Surely our sponsorship roots would be Ind Coope?
  23. Not many. Banks certainly. Shilton certainly. If Lineker ever was then he was while with us; not sure he got much better later. And then Kanté, Mahrez and Vardy. I don't think there were any better than them at the time. All three definitely world class, and all here at the same time. No wonder we were good!
  24. It's because despite being so ludicrously young he can still produce bits of quality at this level. And even when not producing much he doesn't look out of his depth. Incredibly unusual for a kid his age. He's always looked more dangerous than the vastly more experienced and much more physically mature Mavididi (yeah, I know that's been a very low bar this season).
