As you say Leeds Service Crew were / are one of the top mobs in the country during the peak days of British football hooliganism, and I was even in London one Saturday around 1980, when you brought a huge mob of 300-400, to take it to Chelsea on their own turf.

Thanks for the respect & heads-up to anyone travelling to Elland Road, and you are quite right, no real Leicester lads would be involved in the sick chanting at the last game.Leeds are still up there as one of the better mobs in the country, it will be a bit dodgy up there if what i'm hearing is right, especially if their old lads are out for it.

cant show you a lionk, but i can show you a link, you have to go through another site.

www.terracelinks.cjb.net find leicester babysquad, go on the forum and you should find the discussion on the leeds game.

its all mind games. Police presence is too much for a load of trouble to erupt nowadays - anything said about Turkey etc. wasnt sung by proper football fans either, let alone proper Leicester fans. Hope but am pretty sure Saturday will go as smooth for the fans as any other game!

I don't know why anyone's posting this. The majority of fans, both Leeds and Leicester, will be going to watch a football game, not beat each other up.

Pathetic! This sort of crap belongs in the 70's!

Too right. If they all are so warlike and full of pent up aggression why don't they join a boxing club or the forces?. Do the job for real.

Of course the Football Intelligence Unit of the NCIS woulnt think of monitoring a site like this would they?

I can't believe terds like you really exist? You are just scumbags who have no right to breath the same air as decent people. Hopefully your inbreeding will finish you all off soon. Jerkers

Just be sensible, dont were burberry or Chav wear and they should stay away from you. If the service crew is turning out they will be looking for people wearing the above clothing. Plz no body do anything daft before after or during the game, dont wind em up.

Although I will be taking care, travelling on the official supporters coach, wearing neutral clothes etc I still find it unbelievable in this day and age that you cant go and watch a fooball match without fear of getting your head kicked in. Sad and shocking :nono:

if your on the official coach wear what you like as you'll be ecorted to and from the ground.

otherwise just stick with a group, safety in numbers and all that

I tend not to wear colours away anyway but its the principle.

You tend to be safer wearing team colours, as hooligans know your not there for trouble. However, I had a look at the link posted above and there was some talk about Leeds being a bit indiscriminate. So trust your judgement on that but as a rule team colours are much safer than Stone Island tops.

Things should be ok round the ground due to policing. Just avoid the city centre, as Leeds is a violent shithole on the best of days.

Haha I personally dont look like a trouble maker, im female for starters (not that that should matter but you get what I mean) And as for Stone Island tops, I have never worn anything like that in my life and never will *shudders* I think we will all be ok if, as you say, we stick to what you are actually going there for - to watch football!

they ent real fans if there go to the match and do that!!!

with a lot of the old boys planning to turn out /cant get in ground due to banning orders

No their not real fans obviously, they can't even get in their own ground.

It doesn't make em any less dangerous though IF they do turn out. I hope the police are prepaired for the possabilty of violence.

It probabley wont be that bad, just exercise a bit of caution everyone going.

I doubt it's the old boys that are going to be a problem our normal fans. It's more likely that chavs wanting impress each other and possibly the old boys that are likely to be indiscriminate.

*Editing, so as not to cause alarm*

But the chances of any of our normal fans experiencing trouble are pretty remote. In all the years I've been watching Leicester I've never so much as been hit or anything simialr, despite walking through pitched battles on a number of occassions.

The only people who need to worry are the people who are going up looking for trouble. I would hope there's no one on this board who would be wanting to do that. Saying that, there were some right little plebs with big mouths at the Bolton match, but they were so pathetic, Bernie could have took 5 of them down at the same time :D

As a neative of leeds for the past 18 years I find that comment to be rather offensive... do you live here? Do you REALLY know what you are talking about?

Leeds is a highly cultured and cosmopolitan city streets ahead of Leicester(my home town) and frankly I feel safer here than in Leicester.....

Leeds fans are indeed generally scum, but the city is NO reflection.... Violent shithole...my arse. actually my arse is a violent shithole!!

I aim to please Kay Tea!

Funny that I have NEVER been in a fight in Leeds, but have in Leicester.... hmmm

Most of the people who go out in the City are NOT massive footy fans, they tend to drink locally to where they live.

The City is for "the beautiful people" not a sniff of Burburry, Hackett, Stone Island and Henri Lloyd.

We're all toooooo cooooool up here! I shall be wearing my trade mark gimp mask!

Apologies, I'm sure it has its nice parts and I was just basing my view on past experience, rather than any objective facts.

Each time I've been to Leeds I've witnessed violence. For example, a friend and I went to a nightclub where he was spat upon several times for no reason.

Another group of friends were attacked and chased out of a nightclub there too.

And at vitually every match I've been to at Elland Road I've seen trouble.

I agree that Leicester (city centre) isn't the safest place but Leeds cultured and cosmopolitan?

None of that has ever happened to me.... perhaps you and your mates have just got those types of faces?:D
