The mistakes of Brendan Rodgers/King Power - What are they and what can we learn?

I am confident Braybrooke and Alves were ready to be promoted to the first team squad,  especially when their competition for places was Soumare, Praet, Perez, etc. Also youngsters of their quality often go up a level when you surround them with PL quality players.

This really was an astounding neglect - wasn't he promising them minutes in these games and not playing them?

KP and Rudkin had a successful and replicable blueprint laid out by Pearson. 
 

Pearson knew he wasn’t a renaissance man-style manager, there’s very few of them these days and even then the few capable of it get spread too thinly. 

 

Nige aligned the management, strategy and culture incredibly well. It helped that he brought most of the influential figures in initially. 
 

Balsom and Rennie got great results as Pearson had total faith in them and listened to their advice.

 

Our recruitment was well incredibly aligned because Walsh was an assistant manager too, he was at the training ground. He saw exactly what we had and what we were missing. Pearson trusted him because everything was well aligned; Walsh knew he had to sign talented players but they had to be if the right character too.

 

In a sense Pearson was very trusting of his staff because he believed in them. Rodgers brings in his own staff as acolytes.

Brendan was an arsehole but Top needs To work out how he allowed this to happen and if he is part to blame - put in place steps to ensure it never happens again.

 Asking for Stowell to tell Rodgers that Ward was not up to the level required for the role, because it is patently clear that Rodgers could not see for himself, and that is why Ward was given 26 games.

  I am still at a loss, why anyone should be berating Stowell, because they believe that he was the only person in a position to advise Rodgers of the suitability  of having Ward between the sticks, when the whole world could see his deficiencies, and suggesting that Rodgers was so blind, that he could not possible evaluate the situation in less than 26 games.

2) Forcing out long time club Head Physio Dave Rennie (who had been at the club since 1999) which led to multiple and continued injury crisis scenarios that really harmed our chances of securing more points. Now I can't remember where I read this so take it with a pinch of salt, but I was under the impression that Rennie and his team had expressed opinions toward Rodgers that his training style would lead to injuries and were ignored (this could be wrong as I cannot remember where I saw this, it might have been FT but any source welcome). Leicester, of course, had an exemplary record on fitness and lack of injuries in the years before Brendan Rodgers arrived, Rodgers described this as the club heading down "a different path" 


So which decisions can you think of that you feel have played a role in the regression of Leicester City football club into this mess?

Strange Ranieri did not go through this..And he decimated the best Backroom staff we ever had.!!

on the whole..    I don’t think any club or fans learn anything.

The past 6 years prove that..carry on like we have ,Seagrave will turn into a golf & sports club,sold to the Grand National winner,5 years later it will be a refugee Center.

We dive ( at present) blind into the future.. It’s up to Top & the 3 Amigo’s to first 

secure survival..Then we only go forward,because from our past there is nothing

we can learn, other than poor management through-out,catastrophic recruitment, nobody ever learning over those years. 
Fans can put their points,but it’s all got to come from within the club.

With regards to Dave Rennie, am I going crazy or didn't we have serious medical issues before he was sacked? Don't recall much complaint about it at the time, there was a bit about Rodgers overstepping his boundaries but I don't remember a big negative consensus.
