Again, apologies if people feel this is a silly post to make, but hey if anyone is feeling down, LCFC would not have been much of a help this season, and if you are encouraged to talk then I'd say it's worth it.

I understand your sentiments but feeling down, low, angry etc. over football isn't the same as being clinically depressed.

Yes, but that's not really the point is it.

Of course, the point I’m making is that often football is used as a release from life and many people are massively devoted to the success of their club.

So on days like this it can often make things feel even worse.

What he's saying is that if you are feeling down, Leicester may well have made it worse.

I know, not sure why but I tried not to use the word depressed.

I’ve suffered with depression myself and I didn’t post in the chat but it helped reading others for me.

if you are already depressed and in a natural state of being low then having something like this that takes you lower can really **** with you. Anyone who reads this and feels like this is the case for them, it may not feel like it now but things will get better.

No, maybe not, but you can be depressed and triggered into feeling even lower over football

I’ve edited the original post, not sure why but I avoided using the word depressed and instead went with low.

I guess in my post I was wondering whether it was a silly thing to post when we already have the existing thread in general. I didn’t want to reduce such a complex issue as depression down to “we lost a match”

completely appreciate I worded it poorly so thanks for pointing it out.

I have seen us promoted and relegated so many times. Just said to my son who has only really known us on an upward trajectory that this is what happens when you support a club like Leicester.

Having rough times means the good times feel that much better. A Premier league win and an FA cup is the greatest cycle we have ever had. Going down is shit but we will be back. We always do. Not sure if we will ever hit the same heights again.

It's rotten, so be good to yourselves and kind to your loved ones.

We were mostly rubb8sh the first 40 years of my life, and we've been treated to some miracles recently, but I get that it is tough.

They can never take away the miracles we've lived through.

The good news is that we might start seeing some victories next season.

City Forever. :scarf:
