Hold on…..

So they’ve spent £19m on him.

The Buyback Clause is £15m + £4m in add ons.

Man City also get 20% of the next sale.

So if they buy him for £15m now, they get £3m back due to the % of next sale. So he cost them £12m?

They can then re-sell him again, to another club, hence not paying any further add ons?

No

Haha badly written article as it does look like that

Still a bit mad to think that people can't work it out though lol

The deal is £15m + £4m in add-ons, included in that deal is a 20% sell on fee and a buy back option

Also sell on fees are only active on profit.

How much do you think the buy back is?

The 15m + 4m add-ons refers to Burnleys costs to Man C not the buy back surely.

That’s what I’m thinking lol the buy back clause  would be the same amount they’ve sold him for!

I love a sell on clause. Anyone remember the chain of Ashley Ward ones that ended up with us paying Man City about £16 when Blackburn paid Barnsley about £6m for him?

Their record signing of £19m! Wow. Good signing for them but my word what a buy back clause. Ouch!

...the buy back amount has not been stated in the article, it was poorly written and gave a false impression!!!
