Lei Peifan becomes the lowest ranked winner of a ranking event for over 30 years in what was the youngest final since the 90s vs Wu Yize, both 21.

 

The final itself was pretty poor to be honest but they both played well all week. 2 different styles; Wu Yize is like a young Judd Trump, brilliant potter and a joy to watch at times but a bit erratic. Lei is a bit more pragmatic with a better temperament.

What a tw attish overreaction from Slet the Melt. Maybe he has stuff going on in his personal life but it's still no excuse. The Latvian guy is only 18 and handled the scenario well.

It was the final frame so I think it was match ball. As long as he’s apologised then I don’t mind it. It was a bit pathetic though 🤣

 

I do often think how utterly awful snooker must be from a mindset perspective. You’re on your own in a dark room for hours upon hours.

It was, but he did shake his opponents hand and wished him well,  his opponent seemed genuinely upset that he flucked it and seemed apologetic about it.

 

Selt looks like a serial killer with those dark eyes, and has a history of erratic behaviour. ...think i heard a fellow pro say selts a really funny guy away from the table...who knows?

I heard he's a funny guy off the table and popular with a lot of the top players. Maybe he's both funny and a pri ck, it's not uncommon
