MC Prussian Posted 9 December 2005 Share Posted 9 December 2005 GROUP A Germany Ecuador Poland Costa Rica GROUP B England Paraguay Sweden Trinidad/Tobago GROUP C Argentina Ivory Coast Holland Serbia/Montenegro GROUP D Mexico Angola Portugal Iran GROUP E Italy Ghana Czech Republic U.S.A. GROUP F Brazil Australia Croatia Japan GROUP G France Togo Switzerland South Korea GROUP H Spain Tunisia Ukraine Saudi-Arabia What a great draw! Germany will advance to the finals again after getting the easiest opponents possible. Costa Rica and Ecuador are laughable! I ask myself: Was it luck or did they change some of the rules in their favour? Or did they cheat? We'll play France again! Bonjour de nouveau, Frenchy! And England faces Sweden & Paraguay... Don't underestimate those two! Overall, a very interesting mix...

MC Prussian Posted 9 December 2005 Author Share Posted 9 December 2005 If Germany win group A and England finish second in group B guess who will meet each other in the second round It's always the same old story... Lucky Germany and unlucky England. Although I believe that the hosts have a very, very weak team this time. You could beat them.... Or couldn't you? shen Posted 9 December 2005 Share Posted 9 December 2005 Thank god France got South Korea, as I would've screamed had they gotten the Saudi's... Ridiculous... Although Germany's group is a joke as well...
Nationwider Posted 9 December 2005 Share Posted 9 December 2005 Group C and Group E look to be the toughest groups. In particular, I could see Italy getting an early flight home. Perhaps Holland as well. Serbia and Ivory Coast won't be push-overs.
toonboy Posted 9 December 2005 Share Posted 9 December 2005 It's not a draw England can complain about. Could have been better but should be shot if they don't qualify and should be top. Just trying to work out quickly if we win the group we could face: 2nd round: Poland QF: Portugal SF: Brazil Final: Argentina That obviously depends on who wins what but if I've worked it out right then it could go something like that.
