I’ll preface this with the fact Quorn have done fantastically well and will have performed eel over their budget at step 4 to get promoted, fantastic effort all around especially from Beswick. But there’s no way it’s a borderline step 6 budget, they’d have been struggling to get out the bottom half at best with that! However I can believe it wasn’t a strong step 4 budget and step 3 will be a challenge, hoping they can get the most out of it and carve out enough points to stay up, it’s there in that league.

Quorn’s budget last year was not to dissimilar to St Andrews. The big Quorn earners are complimented by a few lads on or around £100 included a lot of the defence and squad players one of which, age is the key factor, is on £25. Obviously over the course of a season, the £250 / £300 ish a week difference adds up into a considerable saving over the months but Quorn had little option to dramatically cut wage budget given Lavery’s wild spending the seasons before.

By all accounts, this season may not see St Andrews & Aylestone put up the same money as before which, given the history of Coalville and Loughborough Dynamo, is good financial management. Although league apart at present, the Andrews will be strongly fancied for promotion this season. Interesting Aylestone doing a rewind to some players not deemed good enough. There’s will be a very tough league this year.

Unsure with AP again. They could do with going outside the same old names. Manager with zero experience.

But maybe a load of expectation off them will help.

Seems unbelievably low, but again I can believe Beswick has got lads playing for him on a deal so I defer to your expertise on this one!

You’d expect them to be hard to beat next season, will be tough as there’s the four relegation spots and it’s looking a very competitive league with who’s coming into it but expect a couple of those teams to be basketcases, with any luck after a couple seasons they’ll be able to build a more competitive budget for the level to kick on.

Obviously no longer favourites with Nuneaton in their league, I’d say Atherstone with their current momentum will be up there too ahead of AP. Rugby Town an unknown quantity. All of a sudden it’s a strong league at the top end!

Thing is the UCL South as well, you always have a chance of one of the southern clubs throwing some money at it and it’s a different player pool. Newport Pagnell had three goes at it and missed out but think they have a decent budget (host MK Dons women for example)

We’re ridiculously spoilt for choice next season. St Andrews at Step 6 and if the rumours are true, Birstall are slowly on the verge of something big. Foundations being put into place. Kirby’s New Manager Tony Thorpe will make things interesting.

Northern League Prem Midlands is ridiculously strong. Anstey will do well to make the play-offs for the 3rd year in a row.

Can he play at CB as well as LB?

I've seen him play there but really he's so good on the left I'd want him there.

Great engine

Maybe in a three, but not as part of a pair. He's a classy player who linked up wonderfully with Tom McGlinchey when he was at Coalville.

Wouldn’t be surprised they have been after him for a couple of years now.

A lot of clubs have been after him for some time.

I was told Brady Hickey too.

Would be a good signing - sort of player which see them become less channels, more football on the deck.

Harborough just announced two signings from brackley

George Carline and ex-Vardy academy graduate, Danny Newton. Two solid additions.

Jersey bulls up to step 4. New grounds for the jersey away travelling group to go to next season. Anyone from those clubs wanting to come here for a weekend should apply for a new mortgage now

Bloody hell, throwing the kitchen sink at it!

With Hickey & Putman aswell they are going to be clear favourites.

I think they’ll be very good and right up there but Real Barcode are coming into the league with an unbelievable level of backing. Hoping a year’s experience is enough to manoeuvre the cryptocretins but it’ll be a tight league I imagine.

Both super players at NL North and will be missed by Brackley supporters for sure

Newton at times looks like a Vardy clone but I think age is probably catching up now.

He gets stuck in and has been a very likeable player

Carline is a very competent player too and scored some very useful goals from midfield

Hope they do very well for Harborough
