Up to £15m+ for Stansfield!! Utter madness. Completely irresponsible at that level.

£15million in league one, is stupid amount to pay. Fulham must be laughing their heads off. Is this the record price done by any league one club? The max you should be for a player at this level is £4million for a player and that is even too much.

In 2008 a lot of Nigel's signing for us, were experienced free signings or the loan window so we didn't spend much.

I remember in the Sunderland till I die documentary, they signed Will Grigg from Wigan for like £5million even the manager told them not to, stating he wasn't worth the price... and he was right 47 games, just 5 goals!

Doubt Blackpool fans are too happy.

Be a big experienced name at League One level but be any good for the modern game?

I think he will do alright at league one level, good appointment for them. Plenty of chippys in bpool brucey.

Got the experience and has done well in the past but some time ago.

Maybe going in to work with a younger coach?

Probably a good thing it was Accrington that we played today. They really are sh*t.

Good opportunity for some of the new guys to get a decent run out, but it was the old man that got it done.

Jodi Jones has signed a new contract at Meadow Lane, committing his future to Notts until June 2027.

The 26-year-old was the top-performing player in League Two last season, with his incredible haul of 24 assists smashing the English record previously shared by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.

His achievements were recognised by the PFA and EFL, who both named him their League Two Player of the Year, and he fought off stiff competition from within to win our Fans’ and Players’ Player of the Season trophies – as well as an Outstanding Achievement award.

Jones has continued his scintillating form into this season, with three assists and two goals in his first four matches earning him a nomination for August’s Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month.
