I listen to a lot of podcasts at work as we're allowed headphones in but I find myself running of podcasts to listen to so I end up sticking any old music on and letting it shuffle. I'd quite like to broaden my horizons and not listen to the same old stuff.

Could my fellow FTers give me some album suggestions to experience. I'll listen to absolutely any genre so all suggestions welcome. Maybe some classics. Thanks

I love all of the smith albums anyway but yeah the Galaxy 500 was really good and completely outside what I'd usually listen to.

Also enjoyed the Radiohead albums

Without hopefully duplicating previous excellent recommendations:

F# A# by Godspeed You! Black Emperor

An Awesome Wave - Alt J

Surfer Rosa - Pixies

Unknown Pleasures - Joy Division

Brothers - The Black Keys

L'eau Rouge - The Young Gods

Rain Dogs - Tom Waits

Timeless - Goldie

Dummy - Portishead

Ballad of the Broken Sea - Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan

Many more have been previously mentioned and acknowledged.

Weezer - the albums up until they went absolutely pants. For my views just watch that video on youtube from the fella who destroys songs 'what makes this song suck' or something like that? I think its Beverley Hills he rightly takes to pieces.
