FoxesTalk is the home of rewriting history….anyone defending Cooper’s transfer window or complete lack of tactics now are simply on the wind up.

Ruud may or may not be good enough but Cooper played a huge part in our awful Summer transfer window.

Bilal is the only signing that improves our starting 11 and when making the jump with already a lot of question marks over certain positions/players, that’s destined to end up in misery.

tbf think Bilal and Funcdo are the only decent signings imo, rest either meh or so so

think the appointment of Cooper was wrong from the start looking back on it, i gave him the time like i do with all managers but it was clearly he wasnt right

I’m astonished this comes to a surprise with most on here that RVN isn’t all he is cracked up to be!! This man was never going to keep us up!

Cooper wasnt thats for sure

He was left with an impossible position and it does appear to have been fatal to our survival hopes, but rebuilding for next season, when we're back in the Championship and likely to have a transfer embargo and/or points deduction, NOW is crucial.

A test of his mettle and ability to spot a player.

thats why imo he needs to give a few more of the U21 lads a go, i know JJ has been awful but some like Joesph from the U21s could do a job, we dont know unless we try

Im not saying or said he was, no he wasn’t the answer neither, but so wasn’t a manger with a zero cv or prem experience neither, I’m hope I’m wrong I just don’t think he is the answer to keep us up

We were never anywhere near the relegation zone under cooper. He was not the perfect fit but far better equipped to work with this squad than RVN.

For 45 minutes today, I was impressed. Yes we were not all guns blazing going forward but Villa, despite the injuries were still better us on paper. I think for 35 of that 45 we were the better side.

In the second half, I think we lost that discipline. But that first half performance was the most structured we looked all season. And we have some really poor players at this level.

That 45 and about 60/70 minutes shows me there is a coach getting a tune. It needs to click for a full game and we need to eradicate individual mistakes, I think that only happens with better players.

I can’t be Ruud out just yet because I’m seeing progress, albeit, small. I’m hoping the plan comes together before it’s too late. He needs backing this window badly.

It's reported that in his post match interview he said that he thinks we controlled the game

He comes across to me as very measured, relaxed, and calm in his interviews.

He's either supremely confident that we'll get out of this mess, or he's in complete denial.

well we was if you look at the points at the time, not like we was where Brentford are is it,

have you look back at the performances under Cooper? and better equipped? Cooper didnt have the injuries RVN has had for a start, and we got battered just about every single game, there was no game plan, no structure to the team either,

we've looked far better than we did under Cooper, SC wasnt the right fit from the start

i honestly dont know if your trolling or what tbf

Every manager would struggle with the state of our squad. We are in serious need of some quality. Any player with quality is either injured, been sold or is 37 years old.

We need to signs 3-4 players with ‘real’ quality now, which will almost be impossible this month.

We are better than Soton and i possibly Everton.  Also possibly Ipswich but i do rate McKenna as a manager so its a toss up between us 2 for the last relegation spot id say.

Cooper never had us in the relegation zone. Always remember that.

And he also had Mads in goal for every game playing like a super hero,  remember that

The one thing i do find odd with Ruud. Nearly every game he subs the centre backs- is this some kind of tactic?

Never really known a manager that does it nearly every game

it's when we're chasing a game, he brings on a CB with more pace than Vestergaard or Coady to avoid losing anything on the counter while committing more forward

Generally we we are chasing the game, if you are going to push up and take to the opposition, you would get counter to hell with Vesty and Coady at the back.

Lets face it.

Those of us who had our heads screwed on knew this would happen, and we wanted someone established like Moyes.

Many of you wanted Ruud for some bizarre reason. Exactly what we didn't need.
