Yes yes I know it's a complete farce and modern football is dead. I hope clubs take weakened teams and treat the tournament with the little respect it deserves. Although the money involved will mean that will not happen.

Anyway, tickets go on sale tomorrow and flight prices are cheap, quite a good opportunity to do a few grounds in short distance. NYC - Philly - Washington is an easy route with the match schedule.

Tell you what Liverpool or Arsenal are going to win the 2025/26 PL, it won't help Chelsea or Man C

Also do we know why Inter Miami are in it?  LA won the MLS Cup.

Apparently Infantino jumped in to the shock of the rest of the US teams, so that:

1) Messi would be involved for TV

2) Miami was one of the venues

He's proving to be worse than Blatter, the 2030 & 2034 world cup venue choices are just a disaster.

Yep pure corruption re getting Miami and Messi in, shows how much of a farce this tournament is.

Not too bothered about Miami, I didn't find it that great when I went, partying and food is good but prices are insane. With the F1 being there long-term and matches at the 2026 world cup, plenty of opportunities to see the ground.

Chelsea l I think will be the only English club that I think that will take it seriously, everyone else will just treat this as a pointless early pre-season tour. Most attending will be tourist supporters rather than the die hard fans back home. Would so funny if when the squads are announced, Man City turn up with their under 16's team :giggle: imagine pay spending $100's of dollars on tickets to see an unknown youth squad.

Americans wont care, as long as they win.  They'll be no talk of the team they beat being understrength, it's of no interest to them.

I highly doubt they’ll be allowed to rest players. There’s so much money involved that fifa and the club boards won’t have it

Infantino is good at the gray zone corruption, basically making money at any moral cost like any modern political leader,  whereas Blatter was generally corrupt. We forget how bad he was over time.

"Host City Representitive" and winners of the MLS Supporters Shield.

Is DAZN the only TV deal?

Yeh that's what I mean, club Board/shareholders won't allow it. Players and managers are paid many millions and in return for that you get flogged to death and are expected to earn your money. With the amount of cash involved in this tin pot, I can imagine full strength teams will be sent.
