We are already down. I dont see what other game we win. Even Southampton are putting a bit of fight out, nearly drew against Forest. We just have absolutely nothing to offer, if anything we are getting worse week on week.

Im beginning to think maybe we should have stuck with Cooper as we have absolutely nothing to offer as a team in anyway. Without a significant number of new players we simply are not even close to a Premier League team, both Palace and Fulham were there for the taking, we aren't getting many games easier than those.

The difference is the 22/23 squad should never have been relegated, that we were was down to shocking coaching and management.

This squad is paper thin anyway and without four of our best players for an extended period of time it’s hard to see where the next point is coming from.

Any side starting Danny Ward between the sticks in the premier league is asking for relegation.

Apart from last season?

This is going to be sadly the norm now. No teams will compete first season and it will just be the hope of scraping 17th and being able to build on it. That's the only aim now for clubs like ourselves.

I was thinking the same as the OP after the full set of weekend games.

Equally I understand why people don't want to go there.

And of course, there is the thing, that if we do escape, it's possible/probable that nothing will change.

Perhaps what you would term a "lose lose situation".

Let me just go turn the gas oven on..... lol

We are absolutely awful no doubt. And poor off-pitch management and recruitment has led to a bad and unbalanced squad.

But this is just the psychology of a football fan. When you're in a bad run you can't see where the next win/points are coming from. But I'm sure Ipswich, Wolves, Southampton fans will be feeling the same. Looking at their fixtures I can't see where they pick up 3-5 wins either.

Whoever does best out of Leicester, Wolves, Ipswich stays up.
