It's something that has been bugging me for a while and there are many times when the media and other fans have a completely different view on our club than we do.

Why is this?

Do other fans not know enough about our club to actually comment?

Do most in the media spend so much time focusing on the "big" clubs that they don't actually have much knowledge on our club?

Few examples.

Cooper Sacking. Most of the fan base was agreed that he wasn't the right person and he had to go. Media and other fans (mainly forest) saying it was wrong, and he was the best we could hope for (which brings another argument about the "Little leicester" perception).

Majority of our fans actively wanting change at boardroom level.

Media and other fans "your board has brought great success, be careful what you wish for" etc etc.

Even going back to sacking Rodgers. Majority of our fanbase could see he'd lost his way and should have gone way before he did, but the media and other fans "he won you the fa Cup and got you top 4" etc etc.

There are many many other occasions like these and just wondered others thoughts.

Are we delusional?

Do we expect too much?

Are we just "little leicester" that should get back in their box?

Or are we right to want the best for our club and expect to be and remain an established premier league club with clear direction and leadership?.

The one that shouldn't but does get me is tw@ts like Chris Sutton who say we're entitled.

It's absolute ignorant shite - we've had great recent success but all I'm looking for is competence in our leadership which is then evidenced on the pitch.

We've just missed the chance of a generation to lift ourselves from one as a yo-yo club to one which could look to be mid table at least with a fighting chance of European football each year due to sheer and unadulterated incompetence at every level of this club.

No wonder we're fuching fuched off.

I agree with most points you have made.

But one of the most important decisions at the start of the season,  was Maresca leaving.

Yes I know there is no loyalty in football.

This guy had been given a chance of managing a team.from being a coach.top had given him the chance.

top, players, and leicester city,  had adapted to his ways, and then he left.

Leaving Leicester in a mess, season a few weeks away. No manager,  just maybe he owed leicester to try and finished the job.

Be for you shout me down,  as I said before, there is no loyalty in football I understand.

To finish,  top needs to surround himself with up and coming football people,  who can advise him better than he's  getting now.

Can't blame Maresca for leaving for Chelsea. Bigger team, more money etc. And the mess we are in has been created over years, Maresca just papered over the cracks

I do wonder if we have some of the biggest meltdowns in the country here on FT. Of course it could just be that other fanbases are just as bad.

I'd imagine Man Uniteds and Spurs' forums are fun

It's idiots on twitter, who only see us for 2 mins a week on MOTD, having a thought and going with it, without thinking any deeper. There might be a lot of them, but they are wrong.

As a rule, if you have a very different opinion on a club that you don't follow, than lots of those that do, you are wrong.

Also, it's Notts fans, who have an affinity towards Cooper, on the wind up.

Appointing media friendly managers will work against you when it goes wrong. Ranieri, Rodgers, Cooper and van Nistelrooy are all very popular with the press. Pearson never got the same backing.

If we had chosen Jesse Marsch, Bob Bradley or a random European with no previous experience here (Iraola, for instance) there wouldn't be this reaction.

Some great points on here.

Reminds me of West Ham. Everyone outside of West Ham think their fans are ungrateful and stupid for being anti-Moyes.

I know after our experience with Rodgers that their fans are absolutely right. And winning a 3rd rate European trophy (essentially the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy but you get to go to Eastern European one-horse towns instead of Stockport) is no defence.

Football is completely different when you’re paying through the nose to watch the only club you’ll ever support. Especially when there’s opinions coming from rich people who are paid to watch random games and changed their clubs as often as some people change their trousers.

I’d argue that the people on here have a different opinion, to the people in attendance watching the games at the stadium.

The media still treat us like we are lucky to be in the league and we play to the underdog story as well.

Sometimes to play with the big boys, you’ve got to fake it until you make it. If we’ve directed media coverage to us wanting to be the disrupter and challenge the big 6, then our falloff would have had so much more coverage by them.

It’s still embarrassing quite frankly that we ever got relegated with the talent in the squad the wage bill we did.

I personally hope that everything we do as a fanbase rubs them up the wrong way.

Other than that I couldn't give a flying shit what anyone outside thinks.

The fact they thought sacking Rodgers was us being entitled is enough to tell me that I should dismiss them completely.
