If we'd have brought Huth and Cambiasso out of retirement we might have had a chance. 

 

Joking aside I actually think these 2 now would still be better than most of the muck we have in our squad this season.

Ten years ago we brought in Robert Huth. This time we're stuck with Lurch and the Belgian Bombscare.

 

Change the backline, learn to defend and play the creative players from the start and if Wolves have a nightmare we can finish 17th.

We were growing into the premier league in that season, much in the way El Khannouss has this season.

 

Unfortunately that’s about the only instance in which that scenario applies, as this time round we’ve clogged our team with declining premier league plodders like Ayew, Decordova-Reid, Vestergaard and Coady.

I remember seeing us at Arsenal away in February, I managed to get a ticket with a Gunner friend and we played really well but lost 2-1. Kramaric scored. My mates said we should be nowhere near bottom but we were. Proved them right in the end though 😉

I was there too. Wenger said after the game we were the best team they’d come up against all season.

 

Their keeper had a blinder- Ospina??

Hopefully Ruud sticks with Okoli and maybe Wout. We simply need them to defend, we don’t need Jannik for passing at this stage. 

Perhaps go three at the back too, give Coulibally a go as wingback? Have to do a Nigel style transformation otherwise we’ll need snookers to stay up.
