Does he pause for breath? Surprised Owen could get a word in last night. Sounds a bit too excitable, kept tripping over his tongue.

Whatever your thought on feelings on him as an LCFC players (probably not very positive). I thought his stint as a pundit on RL yesterday (the post game stuff) was excellent.

He was clear, articulate, informative, insightful and interesting to listen to (compared to some much more highly regarded ex-players). Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Just me or anyone else think this?

Played a 7 a side tournament at Elland Rd and he was our pro. It was some gimmicky day out.

Genuinely a class bloke for what it’s worth. Didn’t come across as the cocky pr1ck he did as a player whatsoever.

I think it was the Leeds game last year and he was hugely over the top in his support of Leeds especially as he'd played for us.

He comes across okay on the podcast but it's not changed my mind he's still a massive bellend

They loved him, we hated him. Not surprising really.

Well you learn something new every day.

Maybe like the spelling of the word 'horribly' :)

(and yes, I am well aware it might be entirely deliberate!)

I’m probably way off so I apologise in advance but I do wonder with Beckford, looking back, whether there was a hint of unconscious r-word against him in some quarters (not all). Not because he did underperform, but the idea that he met the lazy stereotype. I think the reality is that in the end he didn’t fit Pearson’s style of play which needed those quicker strikers feeding off of each other.

Clearly a decent bloke and always has been.

I don’t it think criticism had anything to do with the colour of Beckford’s skin or his deceny as a bloke. He just came with a bit of hype and then wasn’t great for us. If you look at the threads on here, LCFC fans are very good at moaning about underperforming players and are rightly colourblind (and decency blind) when dishing out the criticism!
