Looking at the stadium plan for the sheffield weds game and there doesn't appear to have been a big uptake of season tickets in g1 standing area as lots still available.  Or were these intentionally kept free for match by match sale ?  It would be a shame if the standing areas werent filled after all the call for standing

There was a portion held back but I'm not sure it was ever confirmed despite asking.

Season ticket occupancy is higher in standing areas than seated, in SK1/G1 at least.

My thoughts is that people haven't realised there's that sliver of standing in G1 just yet. It's difficult to spot on the map.

This was the only information released regarding Safe standing.

SAFE STANDING – STRONG TAKE-UP AHEAD OF 2025/26
Ahead of its introduction at King Power Stadium this summer, 3,077 seats in home areas will be newly designated for Safe Standing. Of those, 2,252 seats will be occupied by Season Ticket Holders who have renewed and opted to remain in a Safe Standing area. A further 427 Season Tickets Holders have either relocated or newly purchased in a Safe Standing area, taking the total number of Season Ticket Holders in Safe Standing areas to 2,679. The remaining 398 seats (which are spread across Blocks P, P1, L1, K1, G1, SK1, SK2, SK3 and SK4) will be available to purchase on a match-by-match basis.

It'll be interesting to see what happens especially if the wider ground doesn't sell out. My personal thought is that the bottom corners of both the North and east stand areas could cause issue with sight lines.

I can only take what I know from the season ticket relocation window, at the very end of that there were basically only singles left in SK1 but like I said there's a lot in G1. Personally I expect a few months of teething issues. There will be people who buy in standing areas and want to sit, who will moan at people standing in front of them. But the stewards can't and probably won't do anything as those are licenced standing areas. I think the club's comms were good at the start but they should have put reminders out when the first batch of home games went on sale a few days ago to remind people of the new areas and to avoid them if you want to sit.

you dont. If it is the same as last year (i'm not a season ticket holder now so cannot check) just log on to the website with your phone, and download your ticket to your google wallet.
