Isn’t that what we are hoping for ?
Id take that to get rid of KP once and for all !
Its beyond belief that the happy clappers still bury their head and can’t see it

You want us to fold to get rid of KP?

Can anyone with even a smidgeon of understanding of football finance explain to me why we haven’t got a sponsor at this point?

is it not like football manager where at the start of the season, you get a bunch of options and then you pick the deal you want? Surely there is someone who wants to sponsor us, even if it’s not £1 billion pounds from a Crypto-gambling-slave-labour corp? Surely some money is better than nothing given our situation seems so perilous…

Well, since KP took over, we haven't had a legitimate main shirt sponsor. And from what I've read on here, it seems the club aren't overkeen on developing links with other potential sponsors such as walkers/PepsiCo. Read into that what you will.

It’s not difficult to join the dots

Sorry I don’t know what the dots to join are here? I get there a more lucrative offers to be done with CrapCryptoGamble.th (which may or may not have questionable ties with our ownership), but if we are at the point where they realise they can’t do these dodgy deals, is it not better to just do business with companies that want to sponsor above board rather than just having no money at all?

You do realise that football is one of the poorest cash flow businesses that exist. 80% of cash comes at the end of the season. That’s how the EFL and EPL exercise control through TV money. You therefore need either a big cash pot, borrow on an overdraft at stupid rates or fixed secured agreements at better interest rates.

We do have a shirt sponsor it’s BC Game their contract runs until June 2026. Why they are not using it is the question. If they paid up front or are meeting their commitments it’s their space nothing the club can do unless pay them back if someone offers more but unlikely.

nothing to see here surely, is it not the same as if we had received full payment for these players??

or am i over simplifying?

But don’t we have to pay interest on these loans so I presume by the time we receive the cash we’ve lost a fair portion of the origin fee. Doing it for these measly amounts is surely a sign of desperation and probably partly the reason Whelan’s gone.

Yes it’s Susan Whelen”s fault now obviously !! 🙄

Khun Too with his usual “blame someone else” spiel

Like I’ve said previously the blame always lies somewhere else when it comes to him.

If he looked in the mirror he’d find the blame looking back at him

Pretty standard to do it with instalments owed on transfer fees

The issue is the loan facilities against Prem TV money

They both an issue really, it says a lot that the owner isnt plugging a cashflow of a meagre 19m.  As well as we dont have a handle on management in general.

Never rated McAteer at all. Fantastic to get such a fee for him. I just had a look on the Ipswich forum and they all think he's crap and we took them to the cleaners. Favourite comment: "he can trap it further than he can kick it".

Wouldn't say it's the main reason she's gone as everyone seems to be doing it, but agree the interest would be better in our pocket.

Aye that's why I said partly the reason but it still feels like the wrong person has gone as most of the damaging decisions have been made on the pitch which has impacted on the finance and made her job much more difficult.

Just to add we don't know if she sanctioned or was for the loans.
