Even last year, in their doomed Premier League season, they gave midfielder Wilfred Ndidi wages of more than £100,000-a-week to prevent him leaving on a free transfer.

When Wrexham signed Conor Coady for £2m in August 2025, Leicester had no option but to agree a deal where they still contributed to his salary.

We’re still paying Coady, even when he played against us? :jawdrop:

I suspected we might have done this a few times. I’ll always remember Pompey and Leeds doing it when they declined. Not great examples to aspire to…

Absolutely love that the floodgates have opened on them.

Shame is a few years too late, but we really need the media to shine a light on it. It wont convince all of the KPFC lot, but when literally every member of the press is saying what weve all been saying for a while....surely it might make them think....

I mean that’s just business

players see out their deals and effectively get a big wage if they renew

we got a £7m for him when he left so it was probably pretty neutral. the issue with wilf was not getting him to sign a new deal earlier and therefore not needing to increase his wage to cover what was  effectively a signing on fee

Its spot on but it only really scratches the surface.  You Could genuinely write a book about the epic mismanagement in the last few years.
