Movement off the ball of the USA has bern outstanding. Adams, McKennie and Tillman is a very nice combination of players in midfield and theyve got pace and decent quality in the front 3. Very impressive.

USA have been superb. What is going on.

7 starters who start in European 1st divisions, a coach with real tactical nous at the highest level, and home crowd energy.

Interesting watching this, Paraguay in qualifying were built on being highly organised and grinding out 1-0 wins. Next to no possession, and hitting teams on the break. Think Arsenal in the George Graham era… boring, boring Paraguay…

Today they look a shambles at the back, they are so disorganised and haven’t turned up at all.
interesting to see what they do second half, if they don’t change something this will finish 5+.

I did think one of the hosts would do well. Really impressive half - another level to what Mexico did yesterday tbh.

Considering thats all we have compared to you guys, not bad for a nation is it?

We are catching up with the rest of the world slowly.

Enjoy your day, this is an excellent result so far for you guys. You have to be excited to be up 3.

Not bad, but not the kind of situation for someone north of the border is in any position to mouth off about.

Anyway, I’m thrilled with that first half. Best half we’ve ever played at a World Cup and it looked like the vision we have been hoping we’d one day see in real life with Pochettino.

I can only hope Pulisic just needs a rest but if that’s so and it’s not an injury related sub, I think halftime was too soon. He was bullying Caceres out there. USA is already looking confused in the second half when they were in complete control earlier.

(of course if it is an injury, that opens up a new, much bigger worry for us)

Harsh yellow on Ream..

Turned around and given to Almiron, which is the right call, but unless I’m missing some new law change that doesn’t seem anywhere at all like a correct use of VAR?

3-0 is generous to Paraguay.

Not really, other than the goals USA haven’t really had too many chances.

It’s been a mix of poor organisation at the back by Paraguay and some clinical US finishing.
I don’t think US have been that good really, they’ve not been bad and they’ve taken advantage of the mistakes at the back and lack of discipline.

Ya we are a bit sensitive with how the US govt is treating us lately so might be a bit more rough around the edges, it's all banter at the end of the day.

Poch has done wonders for you guys.  I'd say the US has always had good peices but never a manager that can make the difference.

You guys will be fine without pulisic if he is injured. Yea, might miss him but I think you can weather it. Backs against the wall type and all.

Have they really though? They’ve had a lot of the ball, but that’s the way Paraguay play.

I don’t know what the XG is for the game, but I’d be amazed if the US is above the 3 they have.

as well as registered shots, Paraguay have had to make a lot of blocks and interceptions with all these balls coming into the box..

Fair, I mean outside of the 60+ minutes of play whenever one of our teams play one of your teams in hockey, I think Canada is a wonderful country. I do not agree with our current regime antagonizing Canada for no reason at all, and you guys are justified speaking up about it.

Pochettino now definitely playing the long game with his substitutes… but it’s come at a clear cost now. There’s still plenty of time left in this and don’t forget we’re relying on Tim Ream to hold it down for 90 minutes at a time out there 😬
