Will the papers be full of remarks about Jack Wilshire & why he continues to have his team play out from the back I wonder?

Playing from the back invites pressure from ths oppisition.. never get it. Safest place on the pitch is to have the ball in the other half as quick as possible.

I do wonder if eventually this obsession with doing it will cease, especially in the lower leagues.  Barcelona, real madrid may be effective in that style but not sure at our level it can be advantageous, plus it's boring to watch.

I think the boring part is when the opposition don’t bite therefore there are more sideways-backward passes to try and goad them in, then ultimately it’s the speed of which a team breaks once you have beaten that press.

A perfectly executed attempt could be a thing of beauty, couple of passes, draw the press, pass into the midfield beat the press, drive up field out to winger who cuts it back to midfielder on the edge of the box and goal all under a minute, it’s the 2nd part we need to nail whilst obviously upgrading who starts the set.

Do that and your lorded get it wrong and your slated but there are more teams than people think, & in the lower leagues, that play the possession & out from the back game it’s not just a few managers.

Barca, Madrid etc have millions to buy the best players that can do it. It's really not the same when you haven't got that money is it.

Yeah that's my point.  I've watched non league games where they do the same thing, the amount of goals conceded rather than leading to any meaningful chance let a lone a goal seems skewed, the data must show otherwise but which clubs have this data?...i doubt it's an analysis of halifax town.

Yeah agreed. Sorry I was agreeing with you, even if it didn't come across that way.
