It will be VERY interesting to see who will be travelling to Spain soon. Martin has used 27 players in the 3 Friendly games so far, I can't believe all 27 (plus Chaplin, McCarthy, Souttar etc) will be going - 20 max?

 

Does anybody know when they're shipping out? Monday, I guess.

Unless some are in the pipeline to be sold or loaned out, why wouldn't you take all 27?

We are allowed 22 overage players this season. If we are going with youth we could have a 30 man squad for the season so unless it looks like a player will leave you would take them all.

According to social media he was in Ghana earlier on today attending an event, 

 

Don’t expect to see him back and I’d expect him to be one of the ones that’s sold before we fly out to Spain

Yeah Monday, flying into Jerez.

We aren’t chartering, they’re flying Jet2.

You would think as the games go on, we'll be getting closer to see the players he favours.

 

Unfortunately,  whichever way you look at it, thats likely to include the likes of Choudhury and co.

Using 27 players at this stage is understandable given that Russell has never seen many of them play before.

 

It also keeps moral and hopes high while he works out his best options going forward.

 

Especially for the young Academy players looking for that break into the senior game.

 

I suspect he'll settle on 16 to 17 players to make up the squad for the start of the season. Which should be plenty.

 

I expect more outgoings and a few incoming before the season starts to allow them the time to bed them into the Team.
