Not in the squads at present Neil Mellor @ liverpool Franny Jeffers @ charlton Russell Hoult @ WBA David Thompson @ Blackburn Matty Fryatt @ walsall anymore? anyone....................... He's at Rangers If I remember correctly. Jason Euell @ Charlton and Matt Jansen @ Blackburn would be immense signings for the club. Never gonna 'appen though.
Katy Posted 29 December 2005 Posted 29 December 2005 He's at Rangers If I remember correctly. Jason Euell @ Charlton and Matt Jansen @ Blackburn would be immense signings for the club. Never gonna 'appen though. His loan has just ended there so apparently he is still surplus to requirements at Charlton.

I'd gerrim in then , dont think we'd be able too get him permo , and im not sure that he'd even want too come permanantly. Euell would be my choice , has'nt had a sniff all season , he has been great for Chartlon and before that Wimbledon. Also Matt Jansen , he's had a lot of bad luck injury wise , but he's a natual born goalscorer , and might fancy having the chance of re-starting his career down the Walkers. Then again

Then again Were good at giving people second chances, thatcher ... dickov Then they leave us in a mess for £150k
Muz Posted 29 December 2005 Posted 29 December 2005 Were good at giving people second chances, thatcher ... dickov Then they leave us in a mess for £150k We deffo gave Thatcher a second chance , seen as he turned us down in the MON years , pulling out at the last minute
l444ry Posted 29 December 2005 Posted 29 December 2005 We deffo gave Thatcher a second chance , seen as he turned us down in the MON years , pulling out at the last minute What's going on here? Most of the players being named here are the sort Micky Adams would have gone for. For Craig levein you need to trawl the Plymouth and Lincoln etc. player lists........

City Fan Posted 29 December 2005 Posted 29 December 2005 Im sure we could nick a Charlton striker. They have Bent, Bothroyd, Jeffers, Euell, Johansson, Bartlett, Lisbie and are rumoured to be after Marcus Bent as well! I would like to see Jonaton Johansson out of those lot but I'm sure we could get either Johansson, Euell, Bartlett or Lisbie.
Head Honcho Posted 29 December 2005 Posted 29 December 2005 Leicester city are all set to sign Maccelsfield town striker Clyde Wijnhard who has scored 9 goals in 19 games this season in League 2 the fee is believed to be around £200,000 From the periennial bullsh*t website football rumours
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 29 December 2005 Posted 29 December 2005 Mellor at Liverpool or Jeffers - back at Charlton after failing to make the grade on loan at Rangers - those 2 would be excellent signings !! However, you will all 'shoot' me down for saying it, but Taylor (at F*rest) or Peschisolido (at D*rby) ain't that bad either - better than MDV or Elvis up front !! Up the City
Foxhateram Posted 29 December 2005 Posted 29 December 2005 mellor @ liverpool, downing @ borough, horsfield @ west brom, robby keane @ spurs (although did score this week), keepers: harper @ newcastle, almunia @ arsenal (unrealistic or what ) kevin pressman haha,

Downing, who is injured anyway? Robbie Keane? Can I have some of whatever you're having please?
City Fan Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 How about nicking a Tottenham midfielder on loan? Sean Davis? Michael Brown?
Tommeh Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 With the current state the clubs in we would be lucky to attract conference players
funnkyh Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 not sure if anyones mentioned this, and its probably just a rumour... was having a look to see how o'grady was getting on at rushden and came across this: david bell think hes a midfielder who can play centre, left and right. levein seems to like going in for utility players (ie kisnorbo) and he could provide cover for sylla in jan?

Bell is shit.

"Kisuesless" is not a utility player he is just a sh*t player!! Personally Matt Jansen for me
Leicfox Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Sheffield Wednesday have bolstered their attack with the double signing of Deon Burton and Marcus Tudgay.
Blue Arrow Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Spot on 100% Paul in your assessment of Bell. His failure to provide good service to the strikers and his continuous tendency to over complicate and cut inside all the time, where he runs into trouble, make him highly frustrating to watch for me. If there is any truth in the rumour that we may get O'Grady on a permanent basis as a swap for Bell we are clearly getting by far the better end of the bargain. I don't believe that either Bell or Burgess play anything like consistently well enough for us and, if we can get a good player for one and some money for the other, then I applaud Barry's astuteness in the wheeling and dealing department. If he showed similar sharpness on the coaching/tactical side, our results would improve out of all recognition! This is from that Rushden forum. Why don't we just play O'grady up front surely he would do better than de Vries.
Foxes 2 da grave Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Florent Sinama Pongolle might be a good loan but i think he would rather play for a lower premiership team
Steven Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Summary of the day's rumours. :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: if Leicester city manger Craig Levein is sacked Leicester will replace him temporarily with player coaches Dion Dublin and Jason Wilcox for the rest of the season before a replacement is found. Craig Levein will head North of the border once again to sign Kenny Deuchar for Leicester City. The Gretna striker is on top form once again this season for the 2nd division side. (My source is a relative of Levein's who works with my cousin in Edinburgh). While Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham battle for the signature of Theo Walcott, Manchester United are looking to sign Leicester City wonderkid Ashley Chambers in a deal that could rise to £2m depending on appearances.
City Fan Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Florent Sinama Pongolle might be a good loan but i think he would rather play for a lower premiership team We tried to sign him at the start of the season when we were playoff/midtable hopefuls, no chance of him coming now.
