Sir JJ Wilcox Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 i make daft suggestions to humour the site and you actually believe yours will happen! Watch this space
Cal Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 nobody been interested in him as yet Worth a spin deffo! Btw if he ends up being our boss 144 Ill apologise
Leicfox Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 Lawrie Sanchez maybe, im sure he was interested in the pompey job aswell as still managing N.I, why not come here and give us some of that never say die wimbledon spirit. ?
City Fan Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 We could always go with someone young who is passionate about the club like Matty Elliott or Steve Walsh. And before I get shot down because they have no managerial experience, just think of Chris Coleman and Stuart Pearce.

City Fan Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 Pearce applied for the Leicester job. Really?!?! Never knew that.
Libertine Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 Really?!?! Never knew that. If we'd have appointed him though he would have ended up being rubbish.
Ultra Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 It would've been a bit of a risk at the time. He didn't exactly cover himself in glory during his time as boss of the trees, though having Dave Bassett as his "assistant" there didn't help. He would have been infinitely better than the eventual choice though. So much for those who say nobody would want to come here!
Ricey Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 I don't want Bobby Robson, I'd be too scared he would die at any minute during a game. Maybe as a Director of Football though.
Libertine Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 I don't want Bobby Robson, I'd be too scared he would die at any minute during a game.Maybe as a Director of Football though. Exactly my thoughts. I know it's horrid to think like that, but he is very old.
Ultra Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 Let's be realistic. Sir Bobby is NOT going to come out of retirement and move 200 miles just to manage us.
Gené and Tonic Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 The former Watford manager maybe? Can't remember his name. Lewington was it?
Ultra Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 The former Watford manager maybe? Can't remember his name. Lewington was it? Ray Lewington. He nearly took them down last season! If he was the only alternative (which he's not), we'd be better off sticking with what we have.
Gené and Tonic Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 Just throwing names into the hat An assistant manager from a Prem side would be reasonable, or hopefully we could unearth another Stuart Pearce or Boothroyd, although we'd probably get another dud.

Eric Black (ex Cov) perhaps? He did quite well there after Gary Mac left...
City Fan Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Another option, all be it very unlikely, is Kev Keegan. There's also Peter Reid!
Jimmy Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Eric Black (ex Cov) perhaps? He did quite well there after Gary Mac left... how about gary mac himself?? love to see keegan here, atleast he'd know a thing or 2 about attacking, as for reid, the phrase out iof the frying pan into the fire springs to mind
Cal Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Querioz or whatever his name was (Ex man u assistant i think)
Graz Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Querioz or whatever his name was (Ex man u assistant i think) still at Man Utd, no chance.
City Fan Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Querioz or whatever his name was (Ex man u assistant i think) He still is Man U assistant, and do you really think he would give that position up or are you just joking?
City Fan Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 I heard Sven wants to go back into club management after the World Cup.....
