l444ry Posted 31 December 2005 Share Posted 31 December 2005 I think we won't accept him because he is useless. He may have one good season or two, but he is past it. He did nothing in his time here at Leicester or Southampton. He is promoted as some sort of relegation saving specialist but his record at this is not great. It is more Bassett's ability to self-publicise and promote himself that seems to convince people. He only managed Southampton for 2 games. He took over here from Peter Taylor as you know. Quick reference to the Poll elsewhere will trace our current problems back to Taylor. Hence, Bassett NEVER STOOD A CHANCE of keeping us up. Hey watched Grand Masters Final yesterday on Sky and Leicester beat Chelsea 3-2 in the final. I'd sign those players up to help with the current plight. The way in which he organised the defence really impressed me, and he would know how to sort out our goal scoring problems and also sure up the defence.
