shen Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Well done St. Pauli!!! I look out for Werder a bit since they've got 3 Danes and Mohamed Zidan in their squad, so I wouldn't have been disappointed if they had won either. Great to see St. Pauli getting this far, hopefully they can reach the final!

That was a while ago, and it's gone unused since.

Deathside Posted 29 January 2006 Author Posted 29 January 2006 The draw for the semis has been made: Tues 11/04/06 - St Pauli v Brian Munich Wed 12/04/06 - Eintracht Frankfurt v Arminia Bielefeld Not the best draw - In the same way that millwall qualified for Europe by reaching the FA Cup final v manure the other year, If Brian Munich reach the final - The team they play qualify for Europe - win or lose So, on paper St Pauli have no chance - Brian Munich are 9 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga (St Pauli are in the amature leagues) But then again - St Pauli had no chance when they beat Hertha Berlin (5th in Bundesliga) or when they beat Werder Bremen (3rd in Bundesliga) I only just found out that the rules of the DFB guarantee St Pauli home advantage because of their amature status The game will again be live on German satellite (either ARD1 or ZDF) - But I think I should be considering getting my árse over to Hamburg for the game...

Deathside Posted 29 January 2006 Author Posted 29 January 2006 did you ever get that Turbonegro St Pauli shirt Deathside? Certainly did - and it's visited The Walkers
MC Prussian Posted 29 January 2006 Posted 29 January 2006 Here's some stuff I found on another messageboard in Switzerland. It's just amazing how inventive a football club can be. An autograph card (which they've done before in 96/97) After the last cup game, one of the players grabbed a megaphone and played the "capo", giving orders to the fans. Translated it says on the St. Pauli side: NO Polo-Neck Sweater! NO Gloves! NO Panties! Alright, now kick the "Gayern" out of the competition! If I remember correctly (though it's been a couple of years already), when St. Pauli played in the Bundesliga the last time, they won against Munich 3-1...
Deathside Posted 9 April 2006 Author Posted 9 April 2006 It's semi-final time: Wednesday 12 April - St Pauli V Bryan Munich Kickoff 7:30 (UK Time)
Jordan Posted 9 April 2006 Posted 9 April 2006 I'm pissed off that I've got to work on Wednesday because I'd definitely be having a few drinks and watching that game. My brother's probably gonna take the day off and catch the game on TV--we don't really follow FC St. Pauli closely but we check up on the progress and certainly the both of us have a soft spot for the team. I think it's time to put up the "ST. PAULI-FANS GEGEN RECHTS" flag in my room.

Deathside Posted 12 April 2006 Author Posted 12 April 2006 Semi final underway - Started off very 1-sided - St Pauli seemed to be playing an 8-2-0 formation - The ball only went into the Munchen half 2 or 3 times in the first 5 mins Now St Pauli have settled and started to come into the game and even got a corner on 10 mins Was just gonna say only just noticed Owen Hargreaves is playing and fúck me he slams in a 25yard volley - bástard St Pauli 0-1 Bryan munchen
Deathside Posted 12 April 2006 Author Posted 12 April 2006 Was just gonna say only just noticed Owen Hargreaves is playing and fúck me he slams in a 25yard volley - bástardSt Pauli 0-1 Bryan munchen Just seen the replay - It wasn't a volley - hargreaves wasn't closed down and took a shot as if it were a free kick - That was on 14 mins (20 mins gone now)
Deathside Posted 12 April 2006 Author Posted 12 April 2006 Bugger!! - Luz (St Pauli) just beat the offside trap and was 1 on 1 with Oliver Can't - But the lino flagged him Replay showed he was onside
Deathside Posted 12 April 2006 Author Posted 12 April 2006 Getting closer - Oliver Can't flapped at a cross and then fell over but the follow up shot deflected well wide for a St Pauli corner Corner easilly taken by Oliver Can't
Deathside Posted 12 April 2006 Author Posted 12 April 2006 Ballack 1 on 1 with Holleraith Holleraith blocks (with legs) - corner Munchen (corner cleared)
Deathside Posted 12 April 2006 Author Posted 12 April 2006 Thomas Meggle (St Pauli) booked - foul on Salihamertich (spelling)
Deathside Posted 12 April 2006 Author Posted 12 April 2006 Good save from Oliver Can't at the near post from a Mazingu-Dinzey volley
Deathside Posted 12 April 2006 Author Posted 12 April 2006 Half Time St Pauli 0 - 1 Bryan Munchen TBH apart from the first 5 mins and hargreave's goal I have to say that Bryan look quite ordinary - Not seen any stats but I think St Pauli had more shots on goal
Deathside Posted 12 April 2006 Author Posted 12 April 2006 ARRRRGGGGHHHHHH Oliver Can't just pulled off a brillient save - full stretch dive - finger tipped the ball around the post - I was sure St Pauli had equalised
Deathside Posted 12 April 2006 Author Posted 12 April 2006 Blimey - It's one way traffic now St Pauli are battering 'em - but still no equaliser
Deathside Posted 12 April 2006 Author Posted 12 April 2006 Looks like a couple of the munchen players have been taking acting lessons from drogba
Deathside Posted 12 April 2006 Author Posted 12 April 2006 St Pauli continue to dominate (posession in 2nd half St Pauli 58%) Just had 2 huge goalmouth scrambles but somehow bryan kept it out
