Janx Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 I am sick and tired of people getting on and say "get behind the team" Who isnt? We love our team, we go to matches, we do support them.... some people boo and moan during matches but not MOST of us... It seems that just because people want Levein out, we are seen as NOT supporting the club... this is total and utter bollox! I am as much behind the team as anyone and I resent being seen as a second class supporter, just because some do-gooding, right on, we are stuck with our lot so get on with it, line toe-ers tell me to!! As I said to Tim, I am a firm supporter of the club and have bitten my lip long enough, Craig has done well financially but come up short in terms of motivation. Act now or go down... I can let you have the full email if you wish, but this is not relevant to this post.... Anyone who dares say to my face, get behind the team, will feel my wrath!
Gené and Tonic Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 I think it's just that need to give them as much encouragement as possible, it may help their motivation. The thing is, our crowd is usually quite quiet, but that's because we've nothing to shout about. If we really get behind the team and sing our hearts out then it may rally them. If not, feel free to shout Levein out after the final whistle!
Janx Posted 17 January 2006 Author Posted 17 January 2006 Get behind the team. hilarious and I KNEW when I posted that one of you young jokers would get in with that completely unexpected comment!
Libertine Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 hilarious and I KNEW when I posted that one of you young jokers would get in with that completely unexpected comment! I await your wrath. Edit: Oh, and by the way, I do know it is the obviously unfunny comment to make.
Janx Posted 17 January 2006 Author Posted 17 January 2006 I await your wrath. when your nutmegs have dropped and have the bottle to meet face to face young un! <_<
Steven Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 Get behind the team. The Manager and team should get behind the team.
Libertine Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 when your nutmegs have dropped and have the bottle to meet face to face young un! <_< Anyway, back on topic, I do agree with what you say to be honest.
Teeno Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 Nothing wrong with chanting against managers, but juts don't do it during the game. We needed as much support as possible on saturday and a lot of people spent the whole game chanting Levein out, and chants about Matty Fryatt, that isn't going to help them.

FNQ Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 Nothing wrong with chanting against managers, but juts don't do it during the game. What the fetch are you talking about. The 90 minutes is the only time we get to expree our views all week. We need to use every minute.
Darth Fox Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 Most players in the Leicester team probably earn more in a month than most of us earn in a year so if we want to give them stick then so be it it. If they can't take it and prove doubters wrong by showing passion and winning then the whole lot of them can fcuk off. They are DISGRACE TO THE SHIRT
City_4_Life Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 What the fetch are you talking about. The 90 minutes is the only time we get to expree our views all week. We need to use every minute. Dont do it in the game because it aint going to help. The players aint actually going to be in the right state of mind if there is 20,000 odd fans chanting for the managers head around the gound. There is enough pressure on the players and manager at the moment and chanting LEVEIN OUT and booing players is only going to make things worse. We should use every last minute of the game to get behind the lads that little bit more with POSOTIVE chanting and motivate them. Not none of this negative sh!t that will only put there spirits down and lead to bad performances, which will finally lead to relegation. I know that most fans do get behind the team but there are some that dont and it dont help. I am not sticking up for Levein, but the board aint going to sack him and we are in a desperate situation so the best thing we can do is sing our hearts out for the lads, and hopefully lead them to winning games.

Use your brain, what I'm saying is let them know at the end of the game, Not during it, thats when they need support.

Anyone who dares say to my face, get behind the team, will feel my wrath! You have every right to vent anger. Will you be doing it at 0-0 or even 0-1 with half an hour to go?
FNQ Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 Use your brain, what I'm saying is let them know at the end of the game, Not during it, thats when they need support. It's simply carrot or stick, and it's time for stick.
ithuriel Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 players like joey and hume try even harder when the going gets tough and help drive the rest of the team. those who regularly drop their heads and let things slip on the pitch shouldnt be kept in the team. we need players that will fight to win and have a bit of ability , something which a number of ClueLess signings dont seem to have.

And those who are screaming for Levein's head are doing what they think is right for the team. Anyone who wants to say I'm not a true Leicester fan because I want him out and have called for his head at matches can say it to me here and now in this forum and justify it. ****ers.
Guest Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 players like joey and hume try even harder when the going gets tough and help drive the rest of the team. What a brilliant concept. Are you sure only 20k on their backs is enough? Perhaps if people knew they could give the players abuse for 90 minutes, more tickets would be sold. I think you should market that idea.

ithuriel Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 why dont you take a long hard look in the mirror
Anish Posted 17 January 2006 Posted 17 January 2006 Completely agree with Jankers, TPH and co. The fans have got behind the team for the last 14 months under Levein, and look where that's got us. F**king nowhere. People have to realise that just because 20,000 fans cheer every now and then, they will not make this bunch of underperforming idiots to play like world beaters. We will not rise again just because a few thousands supporters cheer instead of sitting silently. Fans do have an impact on the team for sure, but what they do in training, how well they are coached, how the manager decides tactics and motivates the players, is MUCH MORE important. Fans getting behind the team will not make up for the inadequacies of the training, the coaching, the tactics, the management, and the motivation. Levein out.

If I was shit at my job (which I'm not). 20,000 people clapping me wouldn't make me any better at it. Levein has got to go, that is the answer.
