Strokes Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 So in that case, criticise them. It's a double sided coin. Do you: - clap and cheer - which might suggest to the players we find the current situation acceptable- or think they're doing fine. - boo, whatever and perhaps show them what we think, demanding an improvement. Of course booing could make the players more nervous and more prone to errors whilst cheering could encourage them to play more confident, attacking football. I don't have the answer. I think i have already stated that i will be on Leveins back from the start

Guest Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 players are playing for pride , who wants to be known has a loser afterall. Which is why we're in the position we are, I suppose. You've also contradicted yourself. If our team was playing for (and I'd guess with) pride, why would you want to boo them during the game?
Ric Flair Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 I'll be cheering, mainly because there's no way I could slate the team when they've got the likes of Smith, Wesolowski, Stearmna, Hume and Fryatt out there. The type of players i've wanted to see at the club for years and years. Results wise we are shite and something has to be done, but one fan like myself booing or cheering won't make that decision.

Chimp Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 Whoa! That one isn't off the official LCFC songsheet! Looks like you've woken up. If only the players showed a bit of passion like that. I didn't have a go at people who try to create some sort of atmosphere. I was mocking the assertion that it was the fans not making enough noise which has left us where we are in the table. I don't mind you arguing with me, but please don't misrepresent my arguments. Regardless of whether or not there was some 'argument' hidden among the sarcasm, the fact that you insulted those fans who attend the game and cheer the team on came across loud and clear. As I said previously, I find that attitude juvenille and intolerable. Why is it that you can't ever just let your argument or point of view stand on it's own merit? Why do you always feel it necessary to belittle other poeple's opion or stance via ridicule and insult? We're in enough sh*t at the moment as it is, the last thing we need are people hell bent on turning fan against fan. Despite your feelings toward CL, during the match you should show your passion toward Leicester City by supporting the team. If your only interest in going to the match is to whine, boo or get on the players backs then please, just stay at home, your kind of 'support' isn't needed by anyone.

Its all holier-than-thou oneupsmanship - 'I'm the better fan'. If you want to believe that then it's no skin off my nose. I'm not saying that I'm innocent of belittling other people, but you're no better.

STUHILL Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 Have all 133 of your posts been about me? As i have explained before, i come on here a lot to read about transfer rumours and the general feelings of the fans etc. I don't like to get drawn into some of the more 'pointless' (maybe bit harsh) debates, however as i said, you have a great ability to pull me in! I read your posts and can't help myself! Part of me probably enjoys it, i love your ability to twist and turn what people say. Wow look at that 134 now!! Can you and I celebrate at 150 please! You know you could just put me out my misery and stop posting silly remarks like the way you think many people believe Weso and Morris are our savours! No-one actually said that, they suggested Morris could be better than Sylla and Weso could be good in Midfield. How u got a word like SAVIOUR from comments like that is beyond me! Anyway that's a different thread all together so apologise for ppl reading that on this one. As for 'get behind the team rubbish', i think ppl who are suggesting this are not suggesting 20 odd thousand should cheer from start to end or cheer at all if the performance is not good enough. But simply to cut out the likes of booing a player before coming on the pitch or even having a touch (e.g. Kisnorbo). As for those who might say booing is effective in getting a postive response from players, who knows.
The People's Hero Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 I don't condone the booing of Kisnorbo before he comes on the pitch. I don't think he's really good enough for us, but he's more a symptom of the problem (poor management) than the cause of it. Dare I suggest a truce?

STUHILL Posted 19 January 2006 Posted 19 January 2006 Same time next week? I'll be there, u think one day we may agree? Nahhh more fun to argue anyway.
Michael Doyle Posted 19 January 2006 Posted 19 January 2006 CL supporters or not lets hope we are all having a sigh of relief when we beat cardiff on Saturday. For those that want LCFC to lose on Saturday so that it can put pressure on CL I recon you need to turn your thinking to the club surviving in the Championship. Regardless if this means we have another year of CL. Survival is the key issue here. If we are winning hopefully we wont be booing or on the players backs. I hate to think of the alternative. COME ON YOU MIGHTY FOXES MadMick

That's a bit rich, coming from someone whose grasp of basic written English is not exactly top drawer....Besides, you haven't explained anything, so another contradiction.... In response to What a brilliant concept. Are you sure only 20k on their backs is enough? Perhaps if people knew they could give the players abuse for 90 minutes, more tickets would be sold. I think you should market that idea. which concerned the supposed spurring on of players when the crowd gets on their back, you replied its not an idea its an observation Thus implying, by your response, that even if you do not personally boo them, you condone that kind of action. Perhaps if you don't wish assumptions to be made about your statements, you should be less ambiguous. Now if you would kindly explain to me how our players are playing for pride, not their wages, I would appreciate it. As for my age, what has that got to do with things?

Nothing of the sort was implied, or meant to be implied, in my thread. I've noticed this is a subject you bring up on occassion and which you get very defensive about, maybe it's time you knocked that chip off your shoulder?
The People's Hero Posted 19 January 2006 Posted 19 January 2006 Actually, you did make reference to it. I really can't be bothered to keep arguing with you about this. Perhaps you should go back and read the post in question. I've wasted enough time arguing with you.
The People's Hero Posted 19 January 2006 Posted 19 January 2006 Have to laugh about your comments of me having a chip on my shoulder! Think all those who know me would agree!
