Cat Burger Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 I probably make the odd mistake, but I am dumbfounded of late by the increase in illiterate 'tards that post on here. It never used to be like this, is it a sign of the times? Is it that hard to be coherent? It's just really annoying me on the LCFC forum today... that is all.

If I had made this post, people would jump on the bandwagon and call me a moaner. But I agree with you completely.

It's not hard to be coherent. Presentation of an argument does influence the way in which it is viewed by other people.
filbertway Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 There has been alot of new posters signed up lately and they will not all be off the same sophisticated language and grammar of ourselves. One must learn to deal with it though.
The People's Hero Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 If I had made this post, people would jump on the bandwagon and call me a moaner. But I agree with you completely. I'm only agreeing with it publically because I've already been branded a moaner and a bully with a huge chip on my shoulder so it's not like I have a positive image to protect. Very liberating actually. In my opinion, if people want to give me negative labels then it says more about them than it does about me because I know that I am none of the above things.

Remember when we bullied that lad into leaving? :clap2: We rock!
Ricey Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 What annoys me almost as much as text speak is people not using capital letters, how lazy is that?
The People's Hero Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 I remember he said that buy the end of 2005 Leicester would be a top ten side. We begged to differ. He threw a mardy and started being offensive. Is that's us bullying him then yeah - I'm a bully.

The People's Hero Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 Looking back though, he did have a point... we're really firing on all cylinders now! He said that he'd stick around till the new year to tell us we were wrong. Strangely, we haven't heard from him at all.
filbertway Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 He also liked Kaiser Chiefs You've got to love the kaisers

It's maybe because schools in Leicestershire are the worst funded in the country.
The People's Hero Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 Money doesn't equal being able to spell. It's a case off intelligent and effort.. applying oneself.
Leicester Lass Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 Money doesn't equal being able to spell. It's a case off intelligent and effort.. applying oneself. Maybe sometimes it is just easier to shorten words? I have no doubt that you can still understand what people write so what's the problem?
The People's Hero Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 The problem is we don't like it and we shan't have it. Also - we're bullies, so we don't care!
Leicester Lass Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 The problem is we don't like it and we shan't have it. Also - we're bullies, so we don't care! Fair enough. I'll make sure I always try and spell everything correctly then!

The People's Hero Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 You should do anyway... But your extra vigilance is appreciated!
Leicester Lass Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 Text talk isn't actually allowed, it's in the rules Know it all
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 January 2006 Posted 21 January 2006 It's a bit unfair to those of us who actually have a hard time spelling. Some of us find it a bit harder to be coherant then the rest.
