The Reverend Posted 31 January 2006 Posted 31 January 2006 GK: Douglas RB: Stearman CB: McCarthy CB: Gerrbrand LB: Sheehan RM: Wesolowski CM: Hughes CM: Gudjonsson LM: Smith Striker: Fryatt Striker: Hume I think that this is Citys best line up. With that back 4 we have no apparent weaknesses. The midfield 4 is a good one. Smith gives us that bit of width, Gudjonsson and Wesolowski on the right some bite and energy, and Hughes that bit of class. The Hume Fryatt partnership has to be the best partnership. IMO, Fryatt and Hume are the best strikers at the club and were even before the arseholes left. I would love to be a bit more adventurous and play Hume in the hole, with perhaps Elvis/O'Grady partnering Fryatt, but i know that is out of the question so i aint gonna bother

Also, Smith is a left winger.

thanks4nothinglevein Posted 31 January 2006 Posted 31 January 2006 YES , YOU SAID IT MISTAKES FROM GERRBRAND, THEY COST US WHEREAS JOHANSSON AND McCARTHY TO ME IS MORE RELIABLE
Libertine Posted 31 January 2006 Posted 31 January 2006 YES , YOU SAID IT MISTAKES FROM GERRBRAND,THEY COST US WHEREAS JOHANSSON AND McCARTHY TO ME IS MORE RELIABLE I see your point. But most, including me, feel Gerrbrand is better than Nisse because of pace, passing ability, calmness etc.
Benji Posted 31 January 2006 Posted 31 January 2006 I'd love to witness a Hume/Fryatt partnership, if it happens tonight i can see us scoring 1 or 2, otherwise a 0-0 or 1-0 defeat. i think the line-up will look something like: Douglas stearman - mccarthy - gerrbrand - nils hughes - gudjonsson - williams (he is fit isnt he?) - smith hume - fryatt great team to be fair...
Head Honcho Posted 31 January 2006 Posted 31 January 2006 -------------------- Douglas ----- Stearman - McCarthy - Johansson ------------------ Gudjonsson - Wesolowski - Hughes - Williams - Smith ----------------- Hume - Fryatt That would be my ideal starting line up with the present sqaud, a good mix of attacking and defensive midfielders, I would like to find room for Gerrbrand but seeing as it's only 11 a side I may be struggling!

That is a really good line-up, everyone playing in their 'correct' positions (think ric said to me earlier about weso on the right). Go ooon, stick Gerrbrand in for Johansson

Oh and Gavin is fit.

Don't like the look of that midfield...
Foxhateram Posted 31 January 2006 Posted 31 January 2006 Don't like the look of that midfield... you mean the shape or the players?, i relized that i had put the layers in the wrong order, what do u think to the updated one?
PegguyArphexad Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 It's amazing what can happen in 5 years... All those who are concerned about strikers and transfer policies etc should take a second to realise what an exciting time we are in at the moment!!!!
